I was wondering whether fans of Mass Effect think it's a ripoff or homage or what

Space Legolas, Wishes He Was Pedro Pascal, Scissors of Nine, Tilly 2.0 and Rafi (havent thought of a dumb nickname for her yet).
TOS episode "Balance of Terror".
Excellent. First actual visual contact with the Romulans, a Neutral Zone story, reflective of its time.
Another episode where a bridge officer just pipes up with opinions, dictating advisements based on his personal hatred of Romulans.
He's insubordinate to the First Officer in a manner that would merit removal from his post.
Great examination of when force is necessary and attitudes regarding conflict. Great cat and mouse games.

That ep went to a really dark place for Sisko, and is a brilliant story all around.EXACTLY!
Now, that's how an episode featuring ROMULANS should be done.
A classic for the ages.
Another great one comes to my mind: In The Pale Moonlight...
I guess we will never see something like these anymore...
Meh, all pointy ears look alike to me.Excellent episode, though I always thought it weird that the Romulan Captain was played by Spock’s Dad. Star Trek will often reuse actors, but they’ll often give them makeup to look different. For example Brian Thompson who is probably best known as the villain from the Stallone film Cobra has been a Klingon twice

And whatever the fuck this alien is

Meanwhile Mark Lenard looks identical as a Romulan and a Vulcan.

Sisko's impossible moral dilemma is deftly written.

That's one of my fav ST episodes ever. The war is dragging on, and the situation is beyond grim as defeat seems inevitable
We get to see Garek in his element, and see how Sisko reacts to overt murder, something he helped knowingly occur. Their exchange was super rich, gave so much gravitas to Garek
It helps change the tide of the war, but the way Sisko wrestled with it added extra layers to his character too. Sometimes he's a bit of of an overactor, and didn't seem comfortable in the role (I recall he didn't care for it at first), but once he got the goatee with his shaved head, he owned the screen.
Wtf was the point of this show
haha I heard that in his voice, perfect description of is speaking style. His overacting, I find, is largely in his diction, which is wonderful and stentorian.
But he hammed up his dialogue with dramatic, pregnant pauses and adding intensity by Biting! Off! Every! Word!
Do I make myself clear!
TOS ep "Shore Leave".
An absolute classic.
A romance subplot is contrived for McCoy, so he can hook up with a hottie fifteen years younger.
So that someone can be horrified when he gets lanced like a boil.
The Kirk-Finnegan scenes are fantastic, great character building moments of dialogue.
It's all pretty contrived.
"Oh, all these awful things we've been putting you through, you didn't enjoy them? I don't understand, how can this BE?"
Brooks is one of those guys whose voice is so awesome I'd listen to him read a phone book.haha I heard that in his voice, perfect description of is speaking style.
