Television The Star Trek Thread V6.0

All the TNG actors attending Patrick's Stewart's, social distance Bday Party, minus Frakes, who is quarantining at his lake home in Maine.

As someone who likes both old Trek and new, Lower Decks looks shite. I'll give it a go, as I thought Harley Quinn would also be shite, and that turned out to be great, but I don't have my hopes up. If I want Star Trek with knob gags, I'll just watch The Orville.

Ain’t watched the trailer

Never gonna watch the trailer

On my first TNG watch and currently up to S4E26 Redemption. Question about the prime directive / interference.

I understand Picard playing the neutral role of arbiter by Klingon law, but leaving Gowrons ship whilst it was under attack? The arbiter role was complete. As the Federation and Klingon empire are allied, wouldn't it be acceptable to respond to a distress call and give aid?

Edit: and next scene it turns out Picards arbiter duties weren't complete. That's what I get for posting mid episode.

Edit2: annnnnd then immediately after that Gowron calls for Federation support as allies. Guess I'll just shut up and watch...

It was a Klingon civil war not an external threat in which the treaty would have called on the federation to help them.
