Yeah. The 1st episode of Picard actually gave me some hope. I loved the beginning on the Enterprise D with Data. And the dream sequence with him and the painting. And I kinda liked Chateu Picard. And #1 was a nice touch. But evidently everything after that was a steep drop off.

TNG was brilliant. And this show seems just flat out stupid. Then they rip some dudes eye out of his socket on screen as the beginning of an episode? Nah. Nope.

For myself it's just so tonally different that it doesn't even seem like ST.

But I'm cynical. While I expected that it might not be everything I'd wanted, I didn't anticipate that it would be almost unrecognizable.

WHY does everybody yell at Picard on this show?!?!

I don't care how old he is now or how much he's changed.....jean luc mother f'ing picard would NOT tolerate that! EVER.


I just don't know what these people were thinking.

Even Dianna Troy yelled at him and pleaded with him not to be an asshole and put her kid in a bad situation

Anyone who talks about Picard says how stubborn and terrible he is and the " you know what Picard is like .... He's a total arrangant piece of shit"

To go from TNG where he was respected and respectable. Commanding respect. To this. Nobody had a nice thing to say about him ever

Looks good but not enough vintage characters and situations. Vintage is the cowbell of Star Trek. I got to have more Gowron, baby.

Show me where I am upset. You seem to be quite unhinged about the way things are going. You even have some baloney in your signature. I like the new format. You don’t. Concede your emotions, and be a true VulCAN.
 
Watching TOS "Journey to Babel".

It's brilliant. The Enterprise is hosting diplomatic efforts by the Pigface Guys and Antenna People.

The Antenna People ambassador is excellent, that accent is so odd.

Jane Wyatt as Missus Amanda Sarek is just wonderful.

The scene in sickbay between her and Spock is heartwrenching and poignant.
 
I've had the latest episode ready to watch since it aired and just haven't bothered. This show is poorly put together; it's not episodic, but it's also failing to build momentum.
 
The last few episodes have been great, after some mediocre episodes in the middle of the season. Looking forward to watching the last 2 episodes
