I have a horrible feeling the dipshit from Chicago is gonna come to a nasty end. Been in every episode so far, but he's only down as recurring.

Wow I wasn't expecting that character to come back. Surprised me. Another fantastic episode.
I'm happy with this season so far. It feels nice to say that about Star Trek again. And it seems my earlier quibble with changelings getting around security/sensors has been considered and answered. DS9 still has no excuse though lol, ship/station's sensors shoulda caught those buggars.

Pretty cheeky of the Changelings really. You now have to dissect the fuckers to detect them.
It stands to reason that they would improve their techniques over time (especially as they learn more about other species).

I suppose it took the Daleks over twenty years to learn how to navigate stairs, so a similar time frame for the melty mans is acceptable.

I remember in a DS9 episode were Odo is talking about shape sifting, he says he enjoys turning into things like gas or burning plasma. Think the changling form was mainly an effect or mid 90s CGI. imagine all the cool shit they can do with them now. Also makes them terrifying opponents.

So Odo, give us a demonstration of burning plasma.

Erm, hang on, there's a problem at Quark's again. Got to go.

They'll have to come up with a way to detect them, else there'd genuinely be no way to stop them taking over.

Burning gas /plasma? Dont remember that. However didnt Odo have like a big boulder/stone in his quarters, a chair, a tree and a few other things and in one episode explained to Ro, I think it was, how he likes to change into those things to feel the "essence" in them, even non sentient, something in those lines ?

Sorry, I worded that weird. Odo never transformed into anything like that. It was the episode where he encountered another changeling. That Changling ended up killing a Klingon. He became fog at one point. He told Odo he enjoyed taking the form of burning plasma.

Although the other episodes were so-so at best, The Bounty is the best new Star Trek episode I have seen since the 1990's.

His name was Laas I believe and was played by the same actor as Martok.
