I heard he was very receptive, but he wanted 1 million per episode. I heard about this a good month or two before the announcement, so I wonder what his number will be. Now they are just going to try and figure out how to bring back data. There was an episode of TNG where Data did say he had the ability to age his appearance, if need be. @JDragon after you get done with Typhon Pat, you should read the Cold Equation 3 book mini series, which deals with bringing Data back from the B4, and then the more recent book,The light fantastic

Currently in the Books, Data has left Star Fleet, and has become a Tony Stark like badass Playboy.
Chabon is an Exec Producer from the Picard show and this is a sketch from the briefing Kirsten Beyer appears to have given to the Writers' Room. Not much to see here, except that they are thinking about the setting in the galaxy, which is good.
Don't give them ideas! Why not make Data gay when he comes back?

Marina looks like she would be fun to party with.
This dinner was for Patrick, to let his friends know, they need to write him a 5 page letter on why there character should be in the old man Picard series.
Yeah Berman made a boatload of money from his years in Trek, and has left the business since. His social media looks like he spends most the year, traveling to exotic locations. Good for him. A lot of trek fans thought of him as, holding trek back, not taking chances. and just the corporate suit, but he really ran a tight ship for 20 years. He really elevated the franchise to a level never reached by another franchise. Even some of the missteps, were because Paramount wouldn't listen to him, Like not waiting a few years to bring Enterprise on. He did the best he could, in a ever changing entertainment industry.Rick Berman has largely kept quiet about Star Trek since 2005. He did not comment on the Abrams movies and apparently he also has kept quiet about Discovery. But the fact that Michael Chabon (see above) is now involved with Star Trek has him excited:

This is the kind of thing CBS should have done from the start. It has potential. Some new old man Picard series news. The writers room, has officially finished there second full week of crafting the season. The series will take place in 2399.on the cusp of the 24th century ending and the 25th century beginning.
Canon wise, it is roughly 20 years after nemesis. In the countdown comics, which were written by kurtzman, and in the past have been said to be canon(that up for debate) take place in 2389, Picard has become ambassador to Romulus since 2387, and a restored Data is captain of the Enterprise. 2389 is when Spock tries to stop the destruction of the quadrant, using the red matter. Spock succeeds, but not before Romulus was destroyed and him and the Romulan mining ship were sucked into a temporal rift, into the Kelvin time line.
Good chance the Picard series will be dealing with the aftermath of the destruction of Romulus, and how that effects the federation and the quadrant. That would work perfectly, because you would still get cameos of the Enterprise, and other TNG, DS9, VOY care members who are still around, but takes Picard off the bridge dad to day
That scene was deleted, I am amazed IT is part of the movie they show on TV. Does that make it Canon?Saw this fact posted on Reddit today. In just a few months, Wil Wheaton will be 47, the Same age Patrick Stewart was when they started filming TNG.
Here's a Pic of Wil Today![]()
And here's Patrick today![]()
And here they are in 87![]()
Patrick hasn't really aged in 40 years, and Wil doesn't look to bad for just shy of 50.
Also, Nemesis was on HBO today, and briefly saw Wil in the background. He actually filled a full scene that was cut right before the premiere. In the scene Picard and Crusher catch up, and he excitedly tells Picard about his new posting as assistant chief engineer on the new Luna Class vessel, the USS Titan. Pretty much ignoring that in season 7 he quit star fleet, and becomes a god like being, and joins the traveler.

Patrick has always looked like he was in his 60's. He has been frozen there for a long time.
