The Righteous Gemstones on HBO...

Is anyone else watching this show on HBO? It's a show about mega-church/Televangelist family starring John Goodman,Danny McBride,Walter Goggins and Adam Devine. Three episodes in and I'm really enjoying it so far.
 
What kinda show is it and what is so good about it?
 
I did click thinking i was going to see some gemstones, leaving disappointed.
 
I'm a huge fan. Awesome cast and it's ramping up like Vice Principals did.
 
Great show, things are escalating.
 
Meh, I loved East Bound and Down and Vice Principals, but this one is a little more tame. At least we all got to see Walton Goggins beautiful junk last episode (spoiler). Needs more hot chicks too.

It is just ok.

McBride's character is kind of bland compared to Eastbound and Vice Principals. I also think the guy from Workoholics is a little off color. He is better suited for being full on bro and he's just kinda normal in this.

Still worth watching but I would like to see another Jody Hill show. I thought that was what was supposed to happen.
 
Watched one episode so far. It was filmed down the road from me, was going to try and go to it to be an extra, but had to work that day.
 
I'm enjoying it so far. I thought the first 2 episodes were better than the last 2. But I'm definitely in. I want to see how it all plays out.
 
Im watching its pretty funny. i like Danny McBride's HBO tv shows humor.
 
It's great just like everything else these guys put out. Edi Patterson is hilarious and Keefe, the reformed Satanist, is lowkey the best part of the show. Him walking down the street with those dead eyes and licking his ice cream cone with the dance-off had me cracking up.

It's nice seeing Jimmy from The Mick in this show.
 
Anybody still watching this? Satanic Boyfriend Keef might be my favorite character haha.

It appears the next episode is going to be entirely a flashback.
 
Still watching. It's decently entertaining, but not really all that funny. I'm glad the episodes after the 1st are only 30 minutes, I probably wouldn't keep watching if they were an hour
