I didn't think the first season was all that great. It was ok and I mainly watched because of Mcbride. It was worth it though because the second season is amazing.

Lol the gratuitous hbo flaccid penis has been extreme since like 2015 I recall a scene in true detective season 2 where they lingered in the police locker room it was completely unnecessary to the story arc of the episode show them showering.

Thats what I've done before each new season, go back and watch it from the start. Season 2 was better than I remembered, and 3 was probably my favorite so far.

Nice I still think 1 was my favorite but I honestly can't remember 2 at all anymore. Season 3 was good but I still liked 1 better. The sister though really stepped up in 3 though she was killing it on that show.
