The reason Miocic looked slow..

Very lower end of 30's.

Glover being a better fighter in his early 30's doesn't really explain how he was still so competitive in his early 40's. A shot Jared still beats most of the lower ranked guys.
Lower end 30s feels very different from late 30s. Yes he still performed at a high level but everything slows down. That goes training, recovery, speed, reactions. There's a reason why older folks have to TRAIN SMARTER.
Performing at a high level does not always equate to being fast.

As you get older, the decline of energy speeds up. Hormones change as well. There's so many factors but age has to be the biggest when it comes to anybody slowing down.

Everyone forgets Jones beat the living snot out of him in the first round, aint no way you dont look like a lesser version of yourself after that hiding.

Stipe was in great shape, looked focused and on point. Got flipped like an egg and elbowed to Bolivia.

Stipe wasnt a zombie due to age, he was a zombie cause Jones beat his ass badly in round one.
HAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA

Let everyone think Jones beat an old slow Stipe. I think Aspinall is gonna be shocked when he realizes how fast and smart Jones moves.

That fucking takedown was so fluid and well timed that Stipe could not have prepared for it. It set up the elbow situation. Stipe wasn’t old as much as he was outclassed.

Are you in shape? I am 44 and still feel like I am in my 30's.. I Cut back on drinking and have a great diet.. Cardio 4 days a week.. Fend off that aging process as long as we can..
That's great, but it only matter so much. That pulled hammy that took two weeks to reach 100% back in your 30s will take six weeks to reach the point where you can start working out again. That's what happens when you get older.

So it comes down to genetics I suppose when it comes to how much age affects your perform when you're older?

Miocic looked slow because of the kicks to his ribs. Tom would be gasping for air if he got kicked like that wishing he was back in the pub having fish and chips.
Too bad Jones doesnt believe that <lol><lol>
Are you drunk or retarded?

aaaand that would be chicken or the egg. you get the snot beat out of you in the first round when you're so old and slow you can't defend yourself. prime stipe lands some shots of his own and gets jones' respect so that he doesn't wind up a friggin punching bag in the first five minutes.

Elliptical machines are way better than treadmills or running on hard concrete at this age. Give it a try if you haven’t already.

1 min into the fight Jones took him down and beat the crap out of him..
Then he went to work on the body kicks..
Sure Stipe is 42 but that is slowing down anyone..
Yeah, but it doesnt take 1 min to see how anyone is moving. 1min is a damn long time. In Stipe’s training footage before the fight and a few seconds into the fight you could already notice that Stipe could barely walk. He was taking these weird stiff steps and was kind of throwing feints like if it was in slow motion and stiff af… His slow motion movement reminded me of those grab/claw machines to catch a toy lol.

The reason he looked slow is that he was slow 4 years ago when he last fought

He’s not a top 5 fighter … and he had no business fighting for the title

Exactly brutha!!! I'm sure you felt better in your late 30s than early 40s.
It's pretty much this, as the reason. I mean, it's like late 20's compared to being a couple of years into your 30's. Late 30's to being in your 40's is a huge difference. Everything gets slower, and takes hella longer to heal.

Trying to get back into shape, need to stop with the damn beers and keep up the training as I rejoined MT classes last week. afgter 2 years of heavy beer lifting.

That said I will never feel like I was in my 30's as I used to train my ass off, and was 30 :D:D

He's old. Stop grasping at straws. What guys like randy did are exceptions. 98% of the time if you're in your 40s, you're well past it. And you definitely shouldn't be in championship fights anymore. Especially not strikers. Stipe was slow because he's 42. He looked slow right from the start when he was at his freshest and undamaged

Stop it. It was clear as day, about 10 seconds into that fight, the the three year layoff/age/etc was too much. he looked slow, old, and out of it. You'd be hard pressed to find a bigger stipe fan than me, but he should have fought after Frank KOed him if he was really serious about another shot. Going into this against jones - who wile also old, isnt as old, and was a more well rounded fighter skill wise.

Everyone was right. this fight shouldnt have been booked and anyone saying anything otherwise is a fucking goober.
