PR The PR (Personal Record) thread, v.5

Try finishing the rep before you walk your squat back into the rack.

I know you can't see this, but heavy singles and overloaded partial movements for singles aren't going to get you to where you want to go. You've have the same goals listed in the 2015 and 2016 goals thread.

There was a guy like you in the gym I trained at when I first started lifting. We called him One Rep Ken.

There was no way I was going to hit those numbers last year. That'd be almost 200 pounds on a deadlift in 1 year. This year it's more like 70 pounds. For someone who isn't going to eat right, get good sleep, or take anything more than creatine (and I don't even remember to take it every day) these are about as good as those lifts will ever get. I still went from 415 to 520 on deadlift, 325 to 355 on bench, and up to 425 on squat from 385. That's not half bad given all the time I had to miss while dealing with my mom's stuff. I'm happy with that.

I'm going to be sticking in the 3 to 5 range from here out. These were just fun to do for an off day

Feels like an eternity since I got something comparable

Bench 125kg/275lbs
Deadlift 230kg/507lbs

Thought I might get myself started in here:

Deadlift PR:
170kg/375lbs

It's not anything special, but all things considered I'm very glad. In about 1½ months I've basicly put 20kg/44lbs on my Deadlift PR. All since starting using mixed grip and devoting time to DL'ing.

150x6 (330 lbs)

Wanted to get on with my life, so I just did the last three sets together.

Excellent music selection as well broha

Coach had me do max effort deadlift today so we'd have a number to base my percentages on during this ten week program he wrote me. Went for 525 but messed up my math somehow and put 535 on. Pulled it easily for a 15 pound pr. Maybe I'll hit 550 or better in May at the meet. Great day.
