PR The PR (Personal Record) thread, v.5

Not a lifting PR and no vidya because we aren't allowed to film it in the lab (You also don't want to watch me run for 12 minutes),
55mL/kg Vo2 Max after not doing any conditioning for two months. Not bad. I retest in a week and a bit, i'm hoping to improve.

That's actually quite impressive. Do you do a lot of endurance training?

When i'm actively training, i just train thai/bjj/mma and let nature run its course, not many out last me when training, if i lose a roll or a spar its because the other guy is better. Currently the last two months i literally did jack shit. Not even lift weights up until the last two weeks.

I wrestled and did judo all through HS and first year of uni so i'm used to the feeling of shittiness when doing something grueling, so where most people stop is usually a result of mentality vs legit fatigue. I retest this monday so i will compare the results and see how they have changed or if there was a testing error (i doubt it as the test was administered properly). Should be fun. Did my wingate fasted also to see how my results would compare to a fed state, surprisingly not much difference. Though my fatigue ratio definitely changed.

Retested today, 62 mL/kg/min. Good improvement. Averages out to 58.5 or 59 if you round. I'm happy with this for now. Will likely add two cardio days for improving slowly.

340x2 bench. Had quite a bit left, probably go for 360x2 in a couple weeks.

Man, that looked crisp. Good shit, Jake.

You think 160 might fall before years end ?
Honestly, it fucking better.

This was the first time I've gone to max in an 2.5 months and things should only get smoother.

660x2 deadlift, +5 pr. Last big pulls for a while, time to bring the squat up.
