Goals & Gains The MilkMan Delivers: The Road to 40

AM: Judo randori 1.5 hours. I am by far the least experienced, oldest, lowest grade and technically lacking on the mat but can usually grit through it. Today I felt completely flat and more useless than usual, gassed out hard after an initial round with a 125kg brown belt (who was 16 years old!) I felt like Leonardo Di Caprio getting mauled by the bear in The Revenant.

Back tonight for a much needed technical session with the recreational seniors.

Ha ha ha! Man oh man, as the kids say today: I felt this post.

Terrible session - ate too much junk beforehand and didn't wait nearly long enough for it to digest properly - almost vomited on the 162.5kg set. Didn't get any of my back-off sets in either.

Excuse the view on the video below!

After 7 years (I think) of lifting at home in my back garden, I finally decluttered my garage and set up the gym in there (UK garages tend to be small, single car affairs unless you are well off enough to have a large house with a double garage, which I am not). It is a squeeze, admittedly, but by being smart with storage I have managed to make it work. Whilst lifting outside was mostly enjoyable, there were times, especially when it was raining (which is often!) that it wasn't so much fun. I'm looking forward to progressing in my garage gym.

Nice view! Good job getting the garage set up. I've got a squat rack out in mine and should do the same. It's been cluttered in there for a year now I think.
Keep up the good work man.

Have spent years asking for videos on that view. Can't complain when it happens.

If you're self motivated , garage is too easy to get work in consistently and in a smaller time frame when you can't factor in drive time. Some people have to have a pump man to keep going. Or spotter bc they beast.
