Who was making the argument that could be strawmaned?

that meme about islam and republicans.

so many of you dont truly understand how liberals, (like me) feel about islam, you just think you do. probably because of strawman arguments like this one.

No not at all.

there are idiot liberals who say "islam is peace." those are the only ones you guys focus on, and then you refuse to hear the views of most other liberals on the matter. dismissing them the same way that some liberals will just call right wingers "racists" for ever issue.

this meme is a prime example of that.

Islam is peace is a meme which is seriously represented by most of the media, our president and Hillary Clinton for example.
It isn't just a minority.
It's one of the biggest hypocrisies that you can see on today's left: Defending rights of homosexuals, transgenders etc, defending the religion who puts those people to death as peaceful.

i see liberal leader's views on islam as a bit more complicated than that, and certainly the views of many liberals are more complicated than that. the whole point of a strawman is to dumb down or misrepresent the views of the other side, and thats why so many conservatives view all liberals as having this "islam is peace" bs stance. and the irony...

He will.
It's an actual photograph of an anarcho-capitalist (an ideology Greoric subscribes to) gathering.

It's probably better if you don't understand it. That means that you haven't suffered the company, or had to read the arguments, of an anarcho-capitalist.

Our very own Joe Rogan actually did an interview with their cult leader, Stefan Molyneux, and if you think you can handle the cringe, then you can go right ahead and watch that.
whats wrong with anarcho-capitalism

i don't get it, so only political meme themes are allowed? Mods need to change the thread title instead of deleting posts.

Initially it was called 'Memes which trigger leftists' , then (of course) leftists got triggered, bitched about how it's not funny and spammed their own memes in the thread, thread was renamed to 'the meme thread' to not hurt their feelings.

Well for starters the term is an oxymoron, since anarchism and capitalism are antonymic terms. So intellectually speaking we are already off to a bad start.
The ideology primarily appeals to lonely (male) basement dwellers with subpar intelligence, that for some reason are primarily based in North America. A certain degree of social exclusion appears to be necessary for one to be drawn to this line of thought (granted their cult leader have explicitly demanded that one should cut off all contact to relatives and friends, who support the statist status quo i.e. supporters of aggression, force and violence - or what normal people refers to as "paying taxes").

Anyway, as for what is wrong with the idea in and of itself, well.. It would be easier for me to answer your question if you asked what's is not wrong with it.

Rational Wiki has a fine article on it:

I suppose that's the difference between us. Emotions don't factor in, and you have to be able to criticize bad ideas.

Islam isn't exempt.

Idk a lot of leftists somehow thought he was 'one of them' and his show some sort of court or whatever and that he -as a talk show host- should have held Trump accountable "for his crimes". They even bashed this uber-shill Colbert for the same reason

I don't watch late night talk shows so I'm in the dark here. Am I to understand that Fallon had Trump on his show and people are complaining that he was too nice to him? Like just random internet people or journalists?

You're confused. The only way for anarchism to exist is in the frame of a capitalist system. However the original anarchists wanted to frame the idea is irrelevant to how society would actually organize itself in the absence of government. People are inherently cooperative, not altruistic.

It's also interesting that you draw on solitude for the motivation of many of its advocates, because it's message is based off of maximum cooperation while abstaining from using any kind of aggression.
