Yeah, tbh i consider it more a mobile barrier, but the concept it's mostly the same
To be honest i ever found japanese warfare a bit overrated as well as theyr straight martial ability (this extend to east asian on general), but can't deny it's a charming culture
On other hand they evolved to theyr context, 9 times out 10 it was Jap vs Jap, so it's unfair play the X and Y would have wrecked them

Good point! Some battles lasted hours, what happens when you're dead tired? Do you get rotated out to rest a bit or do you just accept your fate?
I would’ve had more bush in my life than condoleezza rice.Did chicks shave back then? If not then I’m out.
If you want to see more go here extreme-larping
I like the way one guy uses his sword like you would a pool cue trying to aim for the eye slits.
With the face being the main target, I can only imagine the horrible face wounds soldiers would get.
I would just be thrusting at faces the whole time.

What's interesting to note is the wide variety of weapons used during the crusade. There were armies from different countries and weapons and armor weren't standardized. I bet there were some really cool improvised weapons that were used.
What makes you say that? Can you give some examples? He covers both sides and all aspects of the crusades in detail.Real crusades history is very eurocentrically biased. He seems to have a constant axe to grind vs Muslims.
