THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL (Season 2 Teaser Trailer)

Finished episode one last night. I liked it more than I thought I would, Great characters, great dialogue and awesome 1950's NYC setting. +1 for the HD tits too.

Well, I didn't want to create unrealistic expectations.

First time hearing about this show. Saw the trailer - watching it tonight.

One concern though - initially in a series/movie i love the Gilmore girls-esque fast quips and discussions. But lately, i get sick of it real fast, as i find it non realistic. Is this the case with this show? Is the fast debate thingy present throughout the show?

I haven't seen Gilmore Girls. In The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, the way some of the characters talk reminded me of those classic black and white movies where the characters have these fast and witty repartee which fits perfectly for Maisel's period setting.

“Marvelous” news from Amazon. The streaming giant announced Thursday that “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” will be available to stream at no cost starting Friday, January 12 at 12:01am local time and concluding at 11:59pm local time Monday, January 15, using the Prime Video app for TVs, connected devices including the Fire TV and mobile devices, and online.

The move comes after the series won two Golden Globe awards for its freshman season: one for Best Musical or Comedy TV Series and another for series star Rachel Brosnahan, who won the award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series

“Big kudos and congrats to Rachel for her first Golden Globe and to Amy for an outstanding first season,” said Greg Hart, vice president of Prime Video. “We are excited for new viewers to join in the celebration and stream the series for free this weekend.”

Brosnahan stars as Miriam “Midge” Maisel, a 1958 New York City woman who has everything she’s ever wanted—the perfect husband, two kids and an elegant Upper West Side apartment. But when her perfect life begins to fall apart, she inadvertently discovers that she has an uncanny knack for stand up comedy. The series also stars Alex Borstein, Tony Shalhoub, Michael Zegen, and Marin Hinkle.

It was created by “Gilmore Girls” creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive produced, written and directed by Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino. The series received an order for two seasons when it was first ordered at Amazon.

Funny thing, although I'm embarrassed to admit it, the first time I saw her in Manhattan, the first thing that popped into my head was "When did Evan Rachel Wood get a boob job?"

The resemblance is uncanny.

I knew I wasn't imagining things! :D

woot woot woot woot woot woot

I was bored so thought I’d give this a watch as it’s been winning a whole load of awards lately. I don’t usually watch shows like this cause they are girly shows and I’m a butch strong tough guy who likes action gangster shows.

But damn it was good. I’m almost in shock how much I enjoyed it.

And the lead actress, id love to have a night with her!

Anyone else watched this? Any shows similar to this that you would recommend

Great show. It has a very theatrical feel. Rachel Brosnahan is incredible in the lead role. I think the average Sherdogger would hate it, though. The creators are the same people behind Gilmore Girls—another whimsical comedy but with less edge.

It's very pleasant, I remember seeing a preview for it on one of those "first look " teasers before Movie Trailers on AMC theaters and I've caught a few episodes here and there. I'll catch up with it later . There are just so many shows I'm behind on.

Its one of the best series around atm.
The only thing that can bug me at times is Ales Borsteins voice.
She does Lois Griffins voice on Family guy and sometimes she should's like Lois.

Other than that its one awesome show and I cant wait for the next season.
I rarely laugh out loud watching TV but during her stand up sessions I did.

Even if you don't care about anecdotes Rami Malek looking for tie pins, this clip is worth because of the dress she's wearing.

This show is awesome. Started watching and after finishing the first episode I had to watch the whole thing. Finished 3 seasons in like 2 weeks. Great show. The only bad thing is now I have to wait a year for new content.
