One last Con I'd like to add - The Dark Troopers, kinda.

I liked the concept, but if they wanted Terminators in Star Wars they could have found ways to make it less obvious they wanted Terminators in Star Wars, and they could have shown them as being more threatening by actually killing something.

And, a bit of a jab against the actors in the final episode, if there was a platoon of those seemingly indestructible force bashing the doors into murder everyone in the room... all those characters should have been a bit more fearful of their ultimate demise. It was as if they were waiting for the deus ex machina to save them and... oh look, an X-Wing!
Nah, those were just some hard ass warriors who knew that if they died, they were not going down alone.

I need my likes to refresh goddamn it!! I spend them all ITT in seconds.

Favreau has a fantastic resume.

He directed Elf, the movie that pretty much discovered Peter Dinklage for Hollywood and set up Will Ferrell as an A lister who could carry a movie alone, also just a solid Christmas Classic to this day.

He Directed Iron Man 1 and 2, (I think what happened with the MCU speaks for itself), he was an executive producer on Infinity War, directed the 2016 Jungle Book which was well reviewed and well received. He's been great as an actor in the marvel movies (Spiderman, Iron Man, etc) he was the funniest guy in The Replacements with Keanu Reeves which for my money is a great, underrated sports comedy, he was great in Swingers AND HE FOUGHT TANK ABBOT

Maybe someone should edit this fight to make it look like Kathleen Kennedy vs Favs lol

And he can cook his off! You gotta see Chef.

I reckon it will be about Din reconnecting with The Watch and having a testy alliance with the Nite Owls to bring back glory to the Mandalorians. Then they will recruit other Mandos and then have a civil war of some sort.
Then Grogu comes back years later and helps Mando when the other Mando's revolt.

Where was Axe Wolves?

Also why can’t they show heroines get beat up and struggle like Mando? They always have to make heroines so perfect.

I'm fine with it. Here's the difference between the MCU's Endgame lady heroes and SW's Fennec,Bo,Koska female empowerment moments. Endgame pretty much forced that it down the throats that the "women" would be handling the gauntlet for the final push towards the van. Then went into an estorgen induced montage of the girls rolling up their sleeves to "do work".

In the SW finale, there was no fan fare. They made a plan, and executed it. There was no set up. No words of empowerment. Nothing. They just went out and executed the plan. Fennec is a competent combatant solo. And Bo and Koska executed their Mandalorian training much like how was established in the animated Clone Wars. The flow of the sequence was natural and organic. And Koska did get worked over earlier tussling with Dad Bod Boba. I'd also wager that Bo and Koska have much more actual combat experience than all the others at this point.

Don't worry, next season we'll probably see Bo and Din face off for the Saber if they decide that's how it has to be. (Even though it shouldn't.)

How long was that last scene? 5 minutes, 10 minutes? Amazing how in that short time frame there was more excitement, drama and soul than the 3 full length movies about rey.

I rarely get teary eyed anymore but god damn everything about that last scene was - Someone said it above - it brought back to the early 80s and the whole return of the Jedi awesomeness - it made me feel like how I used to feel when I was a young kid and daydreaming about being a Jedi.

We only got to taste what Luke could have been and that last scene was what you'd expect - Luke at peak form just fucking cutting through the scariest threat in the universe (at that time) like a hot knife through butter.

Man talk about a rollercoaster of emotions during that final scene.

Couldn't sleep last night stayed up watching reaction videos and pretty much all of them people were losing it and openly weeping.

See what happens when you know thy audience and give them what they want without trying to "subvert expectations" while shoving sjw crap down our throats?

Amazing.

Instead of most of youtube bitching about how Lukr was a disappointment drinking green milk, you can watch fan reaction which is mostly grown men crying because they finally got reunited with their child hood hero.

Know thy audience. This endeths the lesson.
Agree completely.

This show was so much better than the awful new trilogy movies.

Not sure how I ran out of likes already, but I'll quote this and type out that I "like" and agree with it.

Limiting likes is lame and communist. @Dragonlordxxxxx @Madmick @TeTe @Peteyandjia fix this.

Seeing Mando look beatable when the dark trooper kicked his ass was overdue. I'd have loved to have seen more scenes of Mando getting busted up and grogu healing him, rather than Mando just being unbeatable. Seeing Mando struggle with a single dark trooper and then watching Luke hack them all down with ease was a great way of showing how the jedi are levels above even mandalorians in fighting ability.

Going to disagree with the bold part. Mando has had his ass kicked and saved by others or otherwise challenged many times. Just off top of my head, he gets knocked down and challenged by the Blurrg (had to look up what they were called) when Kuiil uses his shock stick to subdue it. He's getting owned by the mudhorn and about to be killed when baby yoda saves him. He and his team are about to be incinerated by Gideon's flamethrowers but are saved by Baby Yoda's force protection. He gets blown up and mortally wounded before taking off his helmet and being saved by IG-11 and his bacta medkit. Then in the same episode, IG-11 sacrifices himself because Mando and his team believe they're facing impossible odds coming out of the tunnel. In hand to hand, I'm sure there are more but in "The Prisoner," he's getting owned by the imitation Hellboy strongman (same as he was by the dark trooper) before using the ship's doorways to win the fight.

Mando's "beatability" is actually one of the coolest things about the series. He's not an overpowered Jedi and sometimes he loses fights. He's just really good, really lucky and teams up with allies who are just as or more powerful than he is.
