A major plot hole: why was the transport of the volatile material done with tanks when they have ships that can fly them from one part to another? Isn't flying the minerals a good way not too get blown up by the locals?

<{walkerwhut}>

Not really a major plot hole. It’s more plot induced stupidity to move the story. A wheeled vehicle transporting makes no sense in the future logically, but it sure tenses up the story if it could blow at any second. Just like the stupidity of Mando manually scanning his non imperial face and accessing sensitive information on a data terminal. Meanwhile we have real life hackers stealing information from the comfort of their homes.

And not for nothing, but the US military has plenty of air power for transport, but we still make major use of wheeled vehicles to transport munitions all the time.

Folks need to sit back and just enjoy the story. This isn’t the SJW shit fest the new trilogy was. Stop looking for reasons to hate.

Do you think the execs wait until the season airs in entirety before deciding which characters to bring back for Season 3?

Need more Boba Fett, Ming Na Wen, and I want IG-11 back.

I saw an article say Season 3 will premiere next xmas and run into 2022.

a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far, away....

That whole thing was an aside point I made that we don't know how the UNREFINED stuff can be transported. My main point though was that there's lots of evidence that this is an isolated or very rare incident & that the ground transport method didn't need to be corrected prior to the events of this episode.
you keep pulling back, a few more replies and you'll claim you never said anything.

The wheeled transport thing is part of what makes star wars so great. They have ships with the ability to jump to hyper space and yet still have silly atari style displays for targeting and navigating. The contrast of high tech and Wtf is that is hilarious and a big part of why this series entertains me.

And they got lasers that could destroy entire ships and planets but people settle beefs with karate cawkfighting and glowing ninja swords.

Well, Slave 2 doesn't exist in Canon, so it could easily be around. In legends, Fett used it in 10 ABY which is next year in the Mando series... so sure... why not. However, his need for buying the 2... was that 1 was in impound, but if he wasn't concerned about getting his armor back, I don't know why he'd need to buy a 2nd ship.

They don't really need to "recruit" Bo-Katan & company, because she's already tracking Gideon, but they could email them teh coordinates.

I still think there's a possibility of the Jedi showing up. Seems like a sweet reveal for the very end of the season... but maybe they'll take the crueler method & make us sit around for a hole fooking year speculating about it.
New idea: Mando steals a ship when breaking Grogu out. It’ll need to be bigger than a Tie, but surely there is something suitable on Moff’s ship.

Don't try & baffle me with bullshit muddah fookah.... this shit's documented.

The transport thing was in my initial post as a side thought. I repeated the main point of my initial post in all 3 of my responses to you & in 2 more separate posts to other short sighted people who haven't recognized that these bandits were obviously not a problem prior to this episode.

My initial post is documented for your dumb ass to review so try & keep up. Post #1470 That's 6 fucking times I said the thing you're now claiming I'm retconning. This being the 7th.
Teh fook is wrong with you? o_O

in my initial post you'll find 3 paragraphs about why that attack was a rare incident. It was clearly presented as my main point. At the end I simply threw out there in one short sentence the following:

Also can raw unrefined Rhydonium be transported by air?

Then you decided to keep hammering away on that one little side thought I threw out there... while completely ignoring my main point THAT I SAID FROM THE START!

So don't come in here with some bullshit about how I'm changing my stance.

Why though?

Like is this a serious question? Don't be messin with me LO, you're a way smarter poster than this, lol.

Fuel costs, maintenance, logistics, air traffic, noise pollution, and safety are just a small reason why trucking is a valuable asset to the economy still. The military isn't gonna fuel up a chopper for a cargo run of a few miles.

Things to make you go hmmmmm........

In the new Star Wars opening sequence they do a helmet scroll. The last helmet is???

I automatically assumed it was the Din's helmet since we are in a new era of SW, but some have said it's Boba's helmet. The fact that the helmets shown aren't colored raises the question. The only thing you can say for sure is that it's a Mandalorian's helmet.

I'm sure it's mando's but I digress.

It's almost as if analog was able to beat out digital in the SWU. Always liked that. Everything is very tactile.

Anything with hyperspace quipment that's a decent size would probably do & could be modified. The problem is that most accessory vehicles on those big capital ships are equipped for only "in atmosphere" travelling. The AAL's that showed up on Tython are literally named "Atmospheric Assault Lander."

They got 8 "escape crafts" on there, but those are typically small, but it'll do for a while.

Maybe Moff got a sweet corvette on there though for personal use yeah?

So check this out... in legends, Boba buys Slave II in 10 ABY (next year in relation to the Mando timeline) because Slave 1 has been impounded. We could tie right into that if Moff locks down teh Slave One & they escape on his corvette.

<{jackyeah}>

Maybe Creed givez them a big bounty to start off season 3 ep 1 & they make serious bank. Slave II was said to be 200k & change, so maybe they do a job for a rich politician or something. Or how about they run as protection for a First Order transport? (Irony) Get a bounty for the Hutts? (nice excuse to show a Hutt)

Could cut through all the BS & Moff's corvette that they steal, is loaded with millions of credits worth of some kind of currency. It's almost like part of his character though that Mando drives beat up shit at this point, so they might not want to change that dynamic too much.

How about they skip out with a palate full of Beskar on one of the "escape crafts" & trade with another tribe (that the Armorer has now joined) for a ship. or Bo-Katan's tribe.
<Neil01>

lol... my mind is going all over the place with this.
l@nd0
They might even just leave mando's ship to speculation & start the season 3 off with that so that people can let their imaginations run free all year. Fun stuff. :D

I bet they wait exactly as you described, unless something serious comes up and they have to film early.

No way they would have brought Bill Burr back if the fans at the end of the season were like “he sucks” etc.

But I do believe they wait until season end. You shouldn’t think about trading players until the playoffs are over and you see what everyone was made of, you know what I mean?

Don't know if Disney does it, but i can say that there are groups of individuals who are paid to watch television shows and then rate the show and characters.
And yes, decisions on the characters and show itself can be swayed by those results.

On an off note. I was watching the movie Ava last night (shitty) and could not get over the similarities in acting style and physical features of Geena Davis with Fisher. If they ever replaced Carrie Fisher, which seems unlikely, Davis seems like a good choice. May be me just holding out hope for a sweeping retcon still.

Sometimes a more personal touch is the way to go. Killing all those civilians is Not the Way.

For example: The US could've just nuked Iraq, but chose individual targets instead.
I'm not justifying the attack, just saying that you can compare that to your example of Star Wars using Lazer swords & land assaults to settle conflict instead of their big nukes.

Even the emperor told the newly named Vader who was randomly killing anyone in site like a rabid dog, "I do not wish to rule over an Empire of the dead."

So while blowing up entire planets or even a system is strategic in some instances... & demonstrates your power so that others will comply... you don't want to be doing that on the regular else there will be nobody left to mine the spice at Kessel for example, or build the ships. It's not unlike the way the super rich on earth are allowing us pions to survive. They need someone to work on the farms & mines etc....

OR.......Hear me out.......Slotting Bill Burr into Rangers of the New Republic with Gina?? With his imperial history, it could make for good tension with Republic Soldiers. Having him would shore up Gina's less an fan favorite acting ability.

Here is why I think a sweeping retcon is indeed possible

Ashoka the TV show, the new art that has come out: look at the background/font etc, it is highly similar to an episode of Rebels that included time travel, and we know Thrawn is coming back

Not only that, George Lucas said his original idea for a sequel trilogy was to have the original cast trying to settle the problems associated with building a New Republic, which he said "would be harder than overthrowing the empire" - the sequels included nothing of the New Republic except its flaccid collapse, but Mando is definitely touching on that stuff, and if the new team wants to go with that original idea they have all the runway they need to take off in that direction and change whatever they want.
