If you're transporting something so unstable a bump could blow it up maybe investing in a hover vehicle would be prudent.

[I'll just add my opinion that Gina is an absolute SHIT actress. Like slightly above middle schooler level - think mediocre high school level - "actress".]

lol at all those hover crafts that couldn't handle the load.

The fallacy in your argument is assuming that their ground transport method has been a problem that needed to be solved prior to this episode. There's a good half a dozen things about this that tell us that it wasn't a prior problem the level of which needed to be fixed.
 
Hovercraft may add stability vertically but seem less stable on the other planes. In an environment where pirating and sabotage are expected, it could be a calculated tradeoff when coupled with the added weight of an armored vehicle.

Just coming up with shit here.
 
In this universe they have really slow "walkers" that can be stopped with trip wires as well as big vehicles that operate on tank treads, so while I get it to me it's not a big deal

Well, Slave 2 doesn't exist in Canon, so it could easily be around. In legends, Fett used it in 10 ABY which is next year in the Mando series... so sure... why not. However, his need for buying the 2... was that 1 was in impound, but if he wasn't concerned about getting his armor back, I don't know why he'd need to buy a 2nd ship.

They don't really need to "recruit" Bo-Katan & company, because she's already tracking Gideon, but they could email them teh coordinates.

I still think there's a possibility of the Jedi showing up. Seems like a sweet reveal for the very end of the season... but maybe they'll take the crueler method & make us sit around for a hole fooking year speculating about it.

That whole thing was an aside point I made that we don't know how the UNREFINED stuff can be transported. My main point though was that there's lots of evidence that this is an isolated or very rare incident & that the ground transport method didn't need to be corrected prior to the events of this episode.

I haven't seen it in twenty or thirty years but I liked it a lot.

It's an intense watch. Not a straightforward film.
