Locked THE MANDALORIAN Season 1

It's growing on me. I'd like to see some kind of central conflict for the season materialise pretty soon though; I feel like everything we've seen so far amounts to the setup that usually gets covered in a pilot episode.
I'm assuming Mandalorian's vs. the Remnants of the Empire were just revealed as the central conflict, yeah? Would love to see Clan Vizsla dude (the big Mando) bust out the dark saber & unite his scattered people to take back their home planet of Mandalore. What's say we end this season with 1,000 fooking Mando's united & ready for war.

watched the number 3 yup still good

Really enjoyed episode 3, but not really sure why they all helped him. Kinda opposite of what they were talking about earlier

i think they saved him because hes still "one of them" even if they have disagreements

would it be justified to bust out the good chicken bone liqueur?

I have yet to view but I will I promise

Its not perfect i still think they didnt go full out but kinda went half way on the grittiness.

But still its the best star wars related thing since revenge of the sith (along with rogue one)

My only gripe with this show is that the flashback sequences feel out of place. But I guess I'm not too mad about it because it's a limited series and it's better than exposition through dialogue.

Also I don't know why people expect something more gritty. Star wars at its best has a bit of self aware campiness to it because at the end of the day it's a franchise aimed at families. This show has a great identity and feel 3 episodes in and as people have said the atmosphere feels very much like how I (as a fan of the books and original trilogy as a kid) remember it. I can hope that the success of this show gives a bit of a roadmap for future additions to the franchise. Its not a perfect show, but its so watchable and well made that any nitpicking that I might normally have I can just forget and sit back and enjoy.

You wanted a Star Wars show to be something Star Wars has never been?

Rogue One, Anakin in the prequels, Emperor/Darth Vader in the originals, certain characters in Solo, Kylo Ren.......

Im not asking for a full on Punisher season one. Redemption arc in episode three was something that needed to come in the end of the season.

We might know what the two sides are, but then again maybe not. We're not really gonna know what the fight is about until we know what their interest in the kid is. And the show might switch gears entirely now that they've escaped. It could go in just about any direction that it wants.

But you don’t know where the season is going so how do you know it needed to happen at the end?

Just rewatched last night on the tv. Great episode.

Mandolorian handing the baby Yoda the ball from the lever at the end was a great touch. I liked that scene, baby Yoda who can't even see over the console reaching for the ball and Mandolorian handing it to him showed the connection without going out of character for him. Very well done.

I think
Baby Yoda mindfucked him

Lucasfilm, "Kathleen Kennedy is our only hope".

Disney, "No...there is another";)

None of those things are like The Boys or Judge Dredd.

Kylo Ren? What? You mean a big bad? The season isn't even half over.

Its impossible to say what should happen at the end of the season without seeing the rest of the season.

The formula for success was rather simple.

1 Remove all the SJW bullshit.
2 Profit.

Exactly. Kennedy, Jar-Jar Abrams and Ruin Johnson all fumbled the ball. Favreau picked it up and ran it eighty yards for a touchdown.

Favreau Bless:cool:

neither he nor Bobba were Mandalorian. From the words of George Lucas.

The same word of George Lucas gave us Jar Jar Binks and fucking Midi-Chlorines. I respect him for the universe he built, but he doesn't always get it right.

Jango and Boba were Mandalorian, and I'll fight any man who says different:)

Does it matter if they're Mandalorians or not? Does that change anything in the movies?
