The Length of the Topuria Era?

there's no one else at FW. topuria already beat Volk, he beat ryan hall, no one else can stand a chance or put up a threat anywhere. topuria has fight ending power which just one wrong thought, and you're absolutely done. max is not coming back, with more time away, while taking damage unnecessarily against Gaethje, then going to spin that around into a winning performance against topuria. extra damage + extra time = no. topuria will be champ for a while. it was designed this way.

I don’t want Max to fight him I think Ilia has the power to be the one to crack Max’s chin. While being a great boxer, if his chin is cracked Max is done
He's beaten like the entire top 10 except for Volk and hasn't lost to anyone else in like 11 years and has never been dropped. Who else is he supposed to fight?

Volk was a good win, but who else did Topuria KO? K1 Bryce Mitchell and K1 Ryan Hall? He landed a good punch, but was getting touched up by a Volk who looked like a guy who'd just gotten KO'd a few month earlier and was trying to get some confidence back after having it shattered.

I could see Yair taking his head off with a nice kick. But… I could also see Topuria grounding and pounding him. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Merab was almost finished by Moraes before turning the tables. Topuria is bigger, hits harder, has better Boxing fundamentals, and is a better grappler than Marlon so I’d have to disagree with you. I feel Merab would get KO’d in less than 2 rounds.
Moraes was saved by the bell in the 1st round and finished in the 2nd, and has the impressive claim of being the only person in the UFC to get finished by Merab, and is on a 7 fight losing streak, and 8 of his last 9. Oh wow, Ilia is better than the guy who can't beat anybody? Petr Yan is also a better boxer and better grappler than Marlon, and that didn't go so well for him either.

We talming bout the back or the side of the tuna can, because yes.

So your argument is that Marlon “can’t beat anybody,” yet you seem to forget that he put former champ Aljo clean out. Nice self own.
How many clean KO’s does Yan have compared to Ilia, who KO’d Jai Herbert stiff at LW and just put Volk all the way out; something Islam couldn’t do with a shin to the chin and a dozen follow up shots.
How many times has Yan leaned on his wrestling and how many subs in the UFC does he have compared to Ilia?
You also failed address the size difference, which is to be expected since you are objectively biased against Topuria.

Yes, Marlon's only win in over 5 years was a split decision against a guy he lost to 2 fights later.

Ilia has 1 sub in the UFC. Whoa, he beat the great Jai Herbert? Lol, Herbert is a mediocre regional level fighter eith 2 wins in 7 UFC fights who dropped and nearly KO'd Topuria.

By your logic, Merab was dropped and nearly KO’d by a guy who “can’t beat anyone” and has lost 7 out of 8 of his last fights.
Ilia submitted Bryce and KO’d Ryan Hall on the ground; what grappling highlights does Yan have, Mr. Dumbass?

There's nothing "by your logic" about it, it's a matter of record. Marlon Moraes is on a 7 fight losing streak, and his only win in over 5 years was a split decision against Aldo coming off a loss, who lost his next fight too. Beating Tony Ferguson or Chuck Liddell in 2024 isn't impressive either, in case that was also something you needed help with. Whoa, he dropped Lumpinee champs Ryan Hall and Bryce Mitchell? Well shit, if he can drop those striking wizards then he's clearly unstoppable. Lol, wipe the guy off your chin.

How about we let him get a single title defense in before we start with the "era" talk.

Way things have been recently he may be a blip, hard to tell lol.

I think Max matches up very well against Top

Shame they’re sacrificing him to Gaethje. Max vs Top is an A+ fight

I kinda wish Max vs Justin would get canceled in light of Ilia's win. Might be Max's best chance to finally get that strap.

Kinda sucks for him that Volk is finally out of the way, but Max is scheduled for a novelty fight.

I think Topuria is a better version of Chad Mendes. I don't see his reign lasting long.

Although it seems like it will never happen, I would have loved to see a fight between Aaron Pico and Topuria. Pico is arguably better than Topuria in every aspect except Pico has a glass chin. The outcome would be entertaining regardless.
Thought the same thing. Would've loved to see Pico in the UFC. Lot of fun match ups

What is the formula to beat him?
gay him up on the fence. dont even worry about committing to takedowns.

half ass drop down, then go back up. then throw some garbage knees to the legs. separate, do it again. try to take some pep out of his step. get bood the whole time, either win a split or lose a UD.

thats the blue print imo

I want to see him fight Holloway next

Your comprehension is like that of a 5th grader. You’re name is quite fitting.
