I think it's legitimate to ask if Khamzat can make 170 in a venue where the athletic commission exists or is not corrupt to the point of cheating for him or allowing his team to do it.

His last weigh-in did not appear on the up and up and Championship weight adds an even bigger question.

I like Khamzat and want to see more of the guy... But I have real welterweight questions for the guy.

I'd like to see Khamzat vs Usman, and the Burns fight is good as well. So WW, for now. But he's huge for the class, is really MW size, so his future is probably there. I just want to see him fight, tbh, too inactive. The Usman fight over Izzy. But he can face both.

I can totally see now after knowing Usman vs Izzy won't happen, Dana will push for Khamzat to be WW champ & push for Khamzat vs Izzy.

I'd love to see Khamzat vs Izzy. He'll need to defend it at least twice before a super fight for sure, but I believe Khamzat is going to be something huge.

I remember Khamzat did an interview two years ago, and said his natural weight was 90-91 KG (198-200 pounds). I see him getting a quicker title shot at MW. He can even bulk up a little more, and I can see him posing a problem for many guys in that division. Even Gustafsson said in an interview that Khamzat has the strength and power of a LHW, and cannot believe he can make 170. I think all that weight cutting might be to his detriment. He should fight at MW.

Why you think Khabib didn't make weight or involved in this just because you think the guy who works on judging the weights is corrupt, it makes no sense at all. At best you can blame the official for corruption without any proof still it has nothing to do with Khabib.

Khamzat's case is not the same with this because he literally failed in the first attempt then he try to hold the towel.

What you claim makes no sense because first you blame the official for corruption when they fight on that region if that's the case why they made Khamzat fail in the first attempt? As you see what you say is easy to debunk.

I didn't blame Khabib for cheating. I said I don't think he made weight (although, perhaps a definitive "didn't" is too strong, "suspicious" would be a better word). Shit, he may have genuinely thought he did. He had clearly been cutting.

If he didn't actually make it, it would've been a corruption thing. It's Abu Dhabi, the sanctioning body is more or less non existent, and it seems wholly possible that Dana said to the guy "don't let him be a pound or two over".

No reason was given on the delay. Chael Sonnen floated the idea that he has Visa problems and can’t fight Burns in April which was the plan, but that is a rumour at best. They usually announce these foreign cards much in advance so I doubt Abu Dhabi is on the horizon. My theory is that Chimaev doesn’t know if he can make 170 again. The guy looks big in his recent photos.

I took a quick look at his WiKi and he has not fought at 170 in the U.S.

I'm not a tin foil hat guy accusing him of cheating. But I think it's a big deal nonetheless. Heck ...I hope he makes weight at 170.

They’re best wins are old men. Woodley Maia rda. wonder boy for burns.

None of these guys have great wins when you view a fighter for their careers.

burns next best is Gunnar in a close fight. And kuchenko and Alex Oliviera.

khamzat eats these guys. And has looked ten fold better than anyone I have ever seen to start there career.

you can say khamzat hasn’t fought the best. Neither have any of the top guys.

Your argument can be made about anyone. The top guys of the new generation typically beat the top old guys then beat one another. The best guys available don’t become magically better just because you’re more satisfied with their wins. If Colby and Burns fight tomorrow one of them will win and suddenly have a top win (unless you just dismiss the guy who lost for losing, making him *not* a top win after all, which is stupid). It wouldn’t make Usman any better or worse if that happened though.
