Fair enough. Yet their middle class is growing at an unprecedented rate. The more disposable income, the more pollution per person seems to be the norm.That's a crazy position to take ,China has a much larger population , looking at emissions per capita is a fair way to assess the situation and we have nearly double the Co2 emissions per capita .
What happens when their middle class is double that of the population of all of the US while "only" polluting at 80% of US per capita rates? I don't know if that's how things will proceed, but "per capita" will soon become an empty stat that doesn't tell the whole story. Remember, their "middle class" numbers over 400 million people already. Do you think their green initiatives will be enough to offset their growing consumerism trends?
