I am pumped up for this episode.

Is there any way the Reverse-Flash could be black?

Ok, but not great episode. Some important developments in ongoing plot, but the primary story was nothing special.

The special effects could have been better.

Why did he have to get them to cross streams? Why couldn't he have just KO'd them, or took their guns and gave them atomic wedgies or pretty much anything else?

The jobbing The Flash does is hard to stomach.

Aside from Reverse Flash, he should own anyone and everyone. Those two clowns should have been strung up in neat little packages for the police long before they even knew Barry was there.

Yeah I agree. At least think of some scenes where they prepare a smart tactic to make it challenging for The Flash. He could have just easily knocked them out if it had any realism.

The only time non-Reverse Flash baddies should even be a marginal challenge for Barry is if they:
a. Come in great numbers.
b. Prepare the environment for dealing with speedsters ahead of time.
The problem is that The Flash's powers are too broken, so they have to constantly make him job so there's any semblance of tension.

Also, wtf was up with that "crossing the streams" (LOL!!) bullshit? Shit is simple. Run up to them. Punch them in the face. He can literally punch holes through their fucking chests, Ray Longo style.

A case of too fast too seen we have already seen how fast and powerfull he is so when ever he jobs to non superpowers or superpowers that don't seem that special it's hard to buy

Barry jobs in the comic books all the time too. People complain about the jobbing, but if they didn't include the rogues, one of Flash's best enemies in his rogues gallery, people would complain about not having Captain Cold, Boomerang, Heatwave, etc. And what's the fun in having a TV show where the fight scenes last less than a second?

The very concept of the Flash makes him a terrible superhero to write. As he should solve every conflict in less than a second considering in the comics he goes FTL. So some jobbing is to be expected.

Exactly what I was talking about. It can't be that hard to think up ways to make it a fairer fight... how does he ever get beat in the comics?

Cuz drama. Wouldn't be much of a show if he went out and one-punched everyone. Yes, it's more realistic, but each show would run about ten minutes. Including credits and an obligatory ad break.

Hey, there's someone robbing the bank!

CLONK!

Oh, there's no-one robbing the bank. My bad.

Well from the ones I know of, Deathstroke in the silver age of comics beat him by tripping him with a baton when the Flash was running, in Identity Crisis Deathstroke also beat Wally West by detonating bombs when Flash was running towards him which caused flash to run around the explosions and deathstroke held the sword backwards and flash ran into it.

Batman in the recent Endgame arc defeated a Joker-ized Flash with a suit that detected the flash running from miles away, computed Flash's running route and fired a batarang that hit the flash and flash's momentum careened him into a building.

But noone considers those legit victories, and always chalks it up to bad writing. Which is a flaw with the Flash being so powerful is that they all dumbed him down and were all PIS

Except robbers know there's a super fast guy and can plan for it with traps or some sort. Ice the floor so he has to slow down or knock himself out skidding into walls. I could live with that as a reason he doesnt just one punch them, same as I was fine with the fight with the electricity guy and the multiple man, but sometimes the writers just get too lazy

Fair enough, I dont really read Flash and I know it can be hard making what looks legit in comic panels look the same in live action, I just wish the writers were a little more creative in some of these fights

That I can agree with setting up scenes to require less suspension of disbelief. But I think people that watch comic book shows or movies have to realize that some logic will be thrown out the window, and that some things WILL require suspension of disbelief, whether it be due to creating more drama, action, etc.

But it seems like I mostly see these complaints towards DC properties. Noone questioned why Thor didn't completely just vaporize or destroy Iron Man in their pissing match, or why Black Widow was able to instantly operate alien weaponry, or why Hulk can suddenly control his powers with no explanation.

And they already tried making a comic book movie that was realistic and more logical. It was called Man of Steel, and a lot of people shitted on that movie for having a lot of destruction when 2 powerful aliens threw down.
