The difference between Trump and Rubio/Kasich's appeal in a nutshell

You asked for my opinion dummy. There ya go. If you don't like it or agree that's on you. But I ain't changing it for you
Just so long as you're aware that your personal definition is unrelated to the actual meaning of the word.

Trump has said a lot of crazy things but offhand, the worst thing I've heard a candidate say this election is ditching the IRS and instituting a flat tax.

No i do not agree that only strenuous, outdoor physical labor should be considered a job .

One that makes you dead tired, dirty, physically strong, makes you hate it, and exposed to uncomfortable elements. One that makes you see another get massively wealthier off your and your colleagues sweat and labor. One that after you've completed 60 hours in 5 days and have a Saturday off its then spent changing the brake pads on your vehicle yourself. Its strange seeing some of these people that were out working the caucus last night. I wonder if they make any substantial income or receive benefits for essentially doing jack shit.

I don't consider taking out massive loans from a bank to study and read about law, work. I did that shit to defend myself when forced too while having a real job.

Perhaps I'm defining work. Real work. And yes I'm aware that Trump may not fit my exact description of that. However at least he has failed and found success in a life outside of politics. The fact that at his core, he's not a politician makes him more relate-able IMO.

I am an electrician, most people consider it to be a pretty good job. Doesnt fit your description at all though.

Guess the trades arent a real job.

Spoken like a poorly educated, desparate, angry person. Not saying you are, but that post pretty much encapsulates the short-sighted, emotional logic of your average trump supporter. It's easy to say things like that but it's something else completely if it actually happened.

Take a look at the world around you. Utopia does not and will not exist in this world. Your best shot at it is moving to a highly educated, small, peaceful nation -- some Scandanavian country most likely. Unfortunately the poorly educated trump fanbase is pretty clueless as to how good we actually have it in America relative to the world around us. Feel free to travel around South America, Asia, and Africa and then re-evaluate your complaints.

A lot of trump supporters are just as whiny as the "bleeding heart liberals" they love to complain about, they just whine about different things.

Im none of those things my friend. My life is better than ever...between my fiance and i we pull in about 220k a year and i carried a 4.0 in a very competitive accounting program.

I don't judge the US in comparison to turd world cess pools. I judge it in comparison to its former greatness and what it could and should be in the future.... but won't be because of the compromised enemy within that we call our leaders.

I don't see trump as national suicide though i do acknowledge the risk. However, i do see the status quo as national suicide...just at a very slow pace.

My anger doesn't stem from a shitty existence...on the contrary i want to preserve what i have and want others to have the same opportunity.

I'm a registered Republican. I just this week changed from unaffiliated since open primary laws don't extend to the Presidential election. I am supporting Rubio and Kasich.

I have ranted against Clinton this entire cycle. Even more damningly, Obama won all of the black vote (highly educated included)-- do you understand that? Of course not. See my sig. You're barely literate. SMH.

This isn't subjective. It's objectively outlined in the CBS article you didn't read. These voters are themselves declaring themselves as "angry" and citing their most prominent issues to be a temporary (and completely un-American) ban on all Muslims entering the country. Their lack of education also isn't a matter of opinion.

I'm quite honestly very surprised that you are able to muster support for Rubio. Kasich I get because, although he's still very right-leaning, he's purposely very temperate in his rhetoric. But Rubio....man, I'd take half of the 2012 Republican stable over him.

You should give us sn update on this when your back goes out, you get screwed in your worker comp case, and you end up on the dole with an addiction to painkillrrs.

Kasich is the only 'moderate' left. But he's actually not very moderate. Wolf in sheep's clothing.

Trump vs. Clinton is terrifying.

Rubio is such a little chickenhawk. When questions about the Middle East pop up at debates, you can practically see him getting his army men out and smashing them into his podium. No thanks. Kasich seems reasonable.

Yeah can't believe some Americans are still falling for neocon chicken hawks in 2016.

That was so last decade....

N if you think about it trump might be the only centrist candidate left.

Rubio n Cruz are right wing zealots

Bernie is a left wing zealot

N Hillary is slowly shifting closer n closer to Bernie

I'm flabbergasted that Donald Trump could be considered someone manual labourers can relate to, as some sort of working class hero.

I am a Conservative/Republican and I am totally disgusted with how Rubio has totally changed who he is in an effort to please the establishment. At least Kasich stayed true to himself. Rubio's whole campaign is no longer about how he would be a good POTUS, but simply "vote for me to stop Trump." Maybe Bernie should try that on the Dem side. "We have to stop Hillary."

Yeah, I mean why would laborers/construction workers like a guy who has made a career of massive building projects that employ said workers?

It's funny how liberals all support welfare, wealth redistribution, free college and stuff for the poor (who actually tend to be the poorly educated), but now Trump goes and says he likes the poorly educated and liberals are all like "of course you like those poor morons, they vote for you". Support when needed, condescending when needed.

Anyway, it's super fun seeing Madmick go on this his anti Trump crusades. Then again, I think it's pointless to criticize Trump, he's just a turd that was brought up by the political system. Had there been normal candidates (before the primaries started everyone was claiming it to be a Bush vs Clinton race) there wouldn't be need to vote for a Trump.

Far from the same argument.
It's not like he worked his way up through the ranks. How many labourers even "relate" to the CEO of their construction companies? Let alone think the CEO of the real estate development firm which contracts them, somehow represents working class values.
Hilarious.

If you're poor and you're voting for the party that wants to give you affordable health care and university, congratulations you're voting in your own interest.

If you're poor and you're voting for the party that promises low taxes for the rich, low taxes for corporations, wants to reduce health care, make 70 the new retirement age... well, you're not just an ordinary poor idiot, you're a super-idiot at that point.
