The Diaz Delusion

Most fighters are delusional, but imo they have every right to be.

He's not even one of the best of the world, let alone the best.

They say weed is harmless, you just have to look at people like Diaz to realise its not true.

You're a silly old man, with baseless silly old man opinions.

Oh and you add nothing to this thread, so sod off.

No the two 'real' losses Nick always refers to, are Jeremy Jackson and KJ Noons. His argument against the others is that he doesn't count decisions where he didn't really get beat up more than the other guy, but just lost an arbitrary points game.

Hell even in that 1st Noons fight Nick was starting to turn it around and win that round. And he looked busted up but was obviously good to keep going. If the doc hadn't stopped that, I say Nick would've won it.

I think his argument is that steroid users are cheaters and thus don't count and his only two "real" losses of note are to GSP (often accused of PEDs) and Anderson (caught with PEDs) which, although I certainly don't personally agree with it, is at least a cogent argument to make.

And everyone at Cesar Gracie is a PED user except for the Diaz brothers apparently, including all the fighters who are their close friends. Something seems off about that.

It's stupid because Diaz himself has tested positive for PEDs on multiple occasions but accused GSP who has always been clean. He's an overrated hypocrite

I hate some of the shit Nick says and does out of the cage, but I always enjoy watching him fight. Whether he's the best fighter in the world is irrelevant to me.

Marijuana

Marijuana is a performance enhancing drug(1):

Cannabis is considered to be in violation of all three main disqualifying criteria. It violates the first (performance enhancement) because of its ability to decrease anxiety and fear, and potentially to improve some types of oxygenation and concentration. It violates the second (health risk) because it can result in, among other things, "decreased cognitive performance" and "pulmonary toxicity." It violates the third (spirit of sport) because of the drug's widespread illegality and conflicts with the "role model of athletes in modern society," along with "negative reactions by the public, sponsors, and the media."

Diaz wouldn't be doing it if it didn't help him. He's addicted and using it to obtain an unfair advantage, while accusing others of PED abuse. He's a delusional hypocrite.

That's the thing about Diaz. He makes these honest comments that often sound dumb on the surface but suggest an intelligent opinion and deep level of understanding underneath.

Here he is intentionally bringing up the duality that the idea of making any money, let alone the huge sums he has received, from fighting of all things is more lucky and incredible than he could have ever imagined. However, over the years he has come to realize that the act itself of fighting is so dangerous and degrading and requires such sacrifice from its participants that even this entirely unexpected level of success is not worth what he has to put himself through in order to keep doing it in a full time capacity.

You just don't get that kind of meaningful introspection from most fighters, but unfortunately it gets lost under his inability to express himself.
Hahahaha

lol. "exterminate!......exterminate!"

People who think Nick Diaz are intelligent are the exact same people who think Mike Tyson is as well because he tries to sound intelligent by using some rehearsed phrases in interviews. The guy that failed a GED test three times in prison while in his late 20s.

the diaz bros don't lose fights, they just run out of time.

He was stumbling around after slowly getting up.

Noons was landing better shots as the fight went on.

It's been years since I've seen it but didn't Noons trip to the ground at one point? And I remember Noons starting to slow down a LOT towards the end of the round, and Nick was just starting to get his game on and press forward. But like I said it's been awhile so that might not be quite right
