The Diaz Delusion

That's the thing about Diaz. He makes these honest comments that often sound dumb on the surface but suggest an intelligent opinion and deep level of understanding underneath.

Here he is intentionally bringing up the duality that the idea of making any money, let alone the huge sums he has received, from fighting of all things is more lucky and incredible than he could have ever imagined. However, over the years he has come to realize that the act itself of fighting is so dangerous and degrading and requires such sacrifice from its participants that even this entirely unexpected level of success is not worth what he has to put himself through in order to keep doing it in a full time capacity.

You just don't get that kind of meaningful introspection from most fighters, but unfortunately it gets lost under his inability to express himself.

It is indeed possible to be an intelligent, introspective thinker, who at the same time has a great inability to outwardly express and put into words their thoughts.

It's stupid because Diaz himself has tested positive for PEDs on multiple occasions but accused GSP who has always been clean. He's an overrated hypocrite

More baseless opinion trash shite posts from the kinkofpikeys, who do you think you are Tyson Fury? A Pikey who probably does a lot more than smoke some weed, as most pikeys do.

Nick and Nate Diaz have never been caught using PED's, weed is not a PED despite it being a banned substance by the NSAC it is still not a PED, no matter how much your little brain cannot comprehend it.

Your posts suck so hard, you must have had great practice from your Mum.

Nick Diaz, 7-7 in his UFC career. 1-3 since his return from the minor leagues.

Lost EVERY ROUND to an over-the-hill, returning-from-the-worst-injury-I've-ever-seen-in-the cage, rusty A. Silva. Fought to survive, not win. If he fought his normal style he would have gone to sleep. He knew it, his fans know it.

Lost EVERY ROUND to GSP. Was broken after a couple of rounds of takedowns where he knew he had no answer. Basically quit and turtled-up, with no attempt to fight. Lost ON THE FEET between the takedowns.

Lost 4/5 rounds to Carlos Condit, mainly due to his horrible footwork. He couldn't cut off a gimp in a phone booth.

Managed to beat an over-the-hill, out-of-shape, smaller BJ Penn. Frankie, a fighter who could make Bantamweight, made BJ look just as bad, or worse. BJ was in a 1-5-1 skid toward retirement when Diaz beat him, yet BJ boxed him up in the first round until "BJ gonna BJ" and gassed out in the 2nd.

When he got in the ring with good fighter for their time (Karo, Diego, Riggs, Sherk) he got beat, even if they were smaller fighters.

So what are his signature Elite/Strikeforce wins?

Daley? A 2-1 UFC fighter who took an early stoppage of Kampmann and beat Hazlett (5-5 UFC) before getting smoked by KOS? Beating those two does not make one a Top 10 WW.

Frank Shamrock? A guy who retired 9 years before fighting Nick, was a shill for Strikeforce, and went into the cage with a broken rib and no real intent to win. He was fodder to make it seem Nick was legit in an attempt to pump up the failing promotion. He took the first opportunity to get out of there.

KJ? A middling lightweight who boxed Nick up? Watch those fights. It looks like Nick is in the cage with a little kid. The size difference is huge. Yet somehow that little kid kept landing shots. He just wasn't big enough to drop the much bigger fighter.

Cyborg? Zaromskis? Smith? Denney? Corbbrey?

Hell, Mike Aina beat him and was robbed.

His idiot brother Nate is 8-8 in his most recent UFC fights against upscale competition.

Shertards mistake mean mugging, dope smoking, and trash talk for greatness.

He moves the needle. People will pay to watch him fight win or lose. Thats why he was hand picked by reigning champ GSP for a title fight. Thats why he was given a million dollar payday to fight Anderson. The only fighter that can claim to have fought against 3 of the top 5 P4P All Time Greats.

There's a twitter exchange between him and one of his fans. I tried to google it but I couldn't find it. It was something along the lines of " I love you Nick but for the millionth time you didn't win the Silva fight" and he responds with "Yes I did". That made me laugh because he 100% believes he did. He'll never beat GSP either.

money is the answer TS

money

he´s working, not posting on serdog

money....

The numbers say he doesn't move the needle as much as Shertards think.

GSP hand picked him for easy money.

He did not get $1MM to fight AS.

He fought BJ and Anderson at the end of their careers. Anderson dominated him 50-45, and BJ (a small lightweight) boxed him up first round before gassing.

When was Nick's last significant win?
