No way ts. Sounds like you haven't gotten past the sniffing butt stage is what it sounds like to me.

Love me some dazed and confused
Let's act like this is the only fight in existence and that there aren't some seriously incredible cards on the horizon for hardcore fans.
Have you heard of UFC 198??
MMA fans want this to be about fighting.
Hardcore fans being people that still jerk off to senile, geriatric brazilians?
I think MMA fans want this to be about yoga
There is drama in every sport. Even professional chess has had its divas.
Fezzik: People in masks cannot be trusted.Chess has gone full WWE.

It is about fighting.
But more importantly, it is about making money.
It's about winning and always has been.
You win to make money.

With this latest publicity stunt for UFC 200 it's now undeniable that the UFC has abandoned the serious mixed martial arts aficionado in favor of the casual fan who needs professional wrestling style drama in order to remain interested. I guess it makes sense...why should anyone be interested in this pointless LW rematch at WW that has absolutely no relevance in regards to title contention? Without some sort of contrived emotional string plucking people might just start to realize how dumb this fight is.
It's becoming increasingly embarrassing to admit that I am an MMA fan.
Thanks UFC.

How is it embarrassing to admit that you're a fan?
Give us some examples, I want to hear this.
Because under the banner of the UFC "American MMA" has become almost embarrassingly indistinguishable from pro wrestling.
Yes, MMA's roots overseas were somewhat based in professional wrestling, over the top showmanship, freakshows, etc. American MMA started out on a path that seemed far more talent and skill oriented. It feels like that has changed to the point where marketability and promotion of persona trumps all.
Did a Brazilian bang your gf or some?
Why does that bother you? They still fight. Just don't go out of your way to see every promotional material possible and you will probably enjoy the sport more.
People like you focus on things that have nothing to do with the actual fights while complaining about people that focus on things that have nothing to do with the actual fights. The only difference is that you are whining about it.
