These hearings are not about simply "pwning" people. The point of them is to get information.

For your example on the white supremacy/domestic terrorist charges...uh..that was her point. That crimes committed by white supremacists aren't labeled as terrorism, while crimes done by other groups were labeled as terrorism. McGarrity said that there wasn't a law or charge that existed where they could charge a white supremacist like they would charge someone that was proclaiming to be from ISIS or AlQuaeda. That the option to charge a white supremacist doesn't exist was the problem she was addressing.
And even then, you guys focus on the dumbest, smallest stuff of these exchanges, and not what the real issue is.

Instead of talking about global warming, pollution, energy, clean air and water, you guys focus on cow farts and "banning airplanes".
Instead of talking about asylum laws, immigration law reform, the treatment of human beings (regardless of legal status) by our government, you want to talk about her wearing all white and crying at a border fence.

No way is the country ever going to be traversed by trains rather then automobiles or planes.
The idea to retrofit buildings to be green would produce far more emissions the it would reduce and to reach her goal it would have to be done at a rate of 27 building a minute.
And all for not unless every nation on Earth does the same.
Nevermind that we are currently the largest reducer of emissions.

That quote isn't new information. I didn't even click on the link, so I dont know the context of that quote, but he is correct. And AOC has said THE EXACT SAME THING. The Green New Deal is not just about the environment. That is only a piece of it. It is about social injustices, it's about the economy, it's about jobs, it's about education and technology. It's about changing the way our economy is into something that is sustainable, and that is inclusive. That is not socialism.

The green deal makes the grandiose claim that within ten years a country with the travel volume of America will be able to expand high-speed rail to a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary. So it would seem reasonable to ask questions like, what technology are you using? How does it work? How is it made? Where is it made? What infrastructures are in place to create something of this size? Will you have to build new infrastructures before yoy can even start on this? Who is going to be making all this? What is the cost? And so on.

But no, don't you dare ask questions like that or AOC will accuse you of harassing a woman of color. She asked specifically about domestic terrorism charges which don't exist for anyone repeatedly. There's no different charges that a terrorist can be charged with that a white supremacist can't be. It was spelled out for her over and over.

We're doing more to reduce it than any other nation on Earth already. We've cleaner air and water, in fact some water has gotten to clean creating negative impacts. Clean energy comes from nuclear reactors, not windmills and solar. Build salt reactors, get clean safe, affordable energy.

California can't even get a few hundred miles of high speed rail built. If just that one single rail could be built and be beneficial it would help some to validate her idea. But it can't be done and will never be completed.
That alone should tell her that it's impossible to reach Continental goals.
