Idea about F-16 for Ukr was cos then Russia had used a lot of subsonic cruise missiles for infrastructure attacks in western ukraine..

Since F-16 might use old 1980 ies models missiles to deal with these cheaper than to use SAM with stuff ...like IRIS-T or NASAMS with modern missiles.

Old models aren't in high demand so not easy to sell, also a lot of them are close to end pf shelf storage timelimit or even older.

Still vs subsonic cruise missiles might work....

But with a proven track record of giving weapons to state and non-state actors they have shown why they cannot be trusted to develop those weapons. It isn't Iran having them we worry about. It is hamas or the houthis.

Sorry but I don’t believe them. I do believe they’d use it for non-military needs, but they would also try and use it gain an advantage from a weapons perspective. They have shown to conduct programs in secrecy and to have undisclosed agendas in the past.

I am not against them getting nuclear power - I am against them developing it and maintaining it on their own unsupervised. It’s not possible unless perhaps they allow another country/countries to run the entire operation for them. They can’t be trusted whatsoever.

That being said, Iran poses very little threat to America. They pose a large threat to Israel.

So my question is WHY THE SABRE RATTLING? I think we know the answer. Trump needs to wake the fuck up. This is an Israeli problem not an American one. Our focus should be domestic. Europe can sort out European problems. The middle east can sort out middle east problems.

If Trump fucks up and gets us involved in another war in the middle east he will lose all party support at a time he needs to capitalize on gains.
