Social The Buttigieg presidential buzz has penetrated the White House

Buttigieg probably has a better chance becoming president by running as a Republican than a Democrat. He's just never going to be a favorite among certain key demographics for the Democrat party.

You think he can get the conservative Christian vote of the Republican party?

I admit I'm biased towards the AR since the Kenosha Kid rode into town. But of course the AK is the most ubiquitous rifle in the world for a reason. It's easy to use and very tough to break.

And the cartridge, 7.62x39 is a fucking nasty round. I don't know if you saw the video I posted a while back of the torture test of guns and calibers that the Safe Life FRAS vest stood up to. It stopped them both ofc, but the damage they did to it wasn't comparable. For a IRL situation with that you probably don't even need a hospital trip from the AR shots, the AK is leaving you with broken ribs at minimum and very likely internal bleeding as well.

I got a warning, and threatened to be banned for that comment....implied threat???
Better remove your comment about an AK I guess...
Apparently talk of ARs itt are being taken as a threat of violence. I got warned and threatened with a ban for my comment you replied to...

The fuck? lol, smh. It was even deleted too.

Maybe clarify that you don't intend to murder Buttigieg?

Yeah, I did. Haven't gotten a reply. I'm just confused how it could have possibly been taken so far out of context?

Yeah, when the SLR was replaced by the SA80, a lot of British Army soldiers were not happy, since the SLR fired the 7.62 round compared to the SA80's 5.56. Also the orginal SA80 was a piece of shit, lacking the durability and simplicity of the Self Loading Rifle.

If a serial adulterer like Donald Trump did it by throwing the Christian base a few bones, then I wouldn't put it past him.

No, and there would no longer be any point for the Republican party to even exist at that point per Matt Walsh. People are freaking out about the RNC's recent decision to merely drop its formal policy of exclusion to having open homos within the party. They are identity politics to the extreme and few things matter more to them than sexual orientation.

From what I've witnessed, the Republican base cares more about victory than identity, and if a candidate that happens to be gay offers them a clear path to victory, I think that they'd look past their issues with the candidate, the same way they were capable of doing with Donald Trump.

A few election cycles ago I witnessed so many debates where the Republicans would've found it "unthinkable" to have a guy who's cheating his wife behind her back with porn stars, who has divorced about half a hundred times, and clearly gives 0 fucks about Christian values, representing them, and then Trump happened.

I really don't think it a stretch at all to believe that they will put up a LGB candidate at some point because they feel like the opposition will have a really hard time utilizing their common accusations of racism, homophobia, etc. against a candidate that's part of a minority. It's actually pretty common these days to see conservatives point to minorities in their ranks to deflect from such criticisms.

That's the thing though, they wouldn't be able to point to a single congressman, senator or governor on this matter. There have been a handful of gay Republicans outed while in office and with the exception of Jim Kolbe, they've either been forced to resign or promptly lost their seat. It's just simply a non-starter, and also a good way to get simultaneously skewered by tolerant leftists and liberals.

Key words are "have been". A lot of things have been, but it's going to change in the next couple of decades moving forward. You simply can't "win the argument" in the United States by relying purely on the support of a declining demographic of people.

I would expect there to be a member of a minority ethnic group as the Republican representative within the next few presidential election cycles, and between 20-30 years you will probably see a LGB representative as well.

Buttigrieg penetrated the White House through the back door

Dude is like 40 years too young for the job

He looks like a stary eyed kid as he talks about shit like racist roads, and taking picture of himself in a hospital bed with his partner, despite not actually giving birth and needing to be in an adult hospital bed. It is images like this, rather than being actually gay, that will not get him elected.

Truth. This is the kind of signaling wokeprogs do to and for each other but are completely oblivious to what a complete turn off it is to normal people.

Not entirely related but I was watching Bill Maher’s recent interview with Chris Cuomo and he shared a story he had hear of a guy who sees a woman with a Hillary bumper sticker in a grocery store parking lot. Her kid is in the car absolutely screaming his head off at her and she’s just abjectly apologizing to him. The guy witnessing the scene thinks to himself “there’s just no way I can allow people like this to run the country.”

It’s the complete lack of adult, common sense that turns people off. These people are weirdos - but they isolate themselves in self-reinforcing social bubbles so they never have to be confronted with how weird they are.

He kinda has to think that way if he wants to remain in politics unless he moves to a different state. He’s kinda in Castro’s situation where the party likes him enough to try to boost his resume but are limited electorally because of where he lives. Not sure how well he’d do running in a general election for president but seemed like he was doing pretty well and had a decent shot if Biden wasn’t in the picture. It’s 2021 though. Everything can change in months let alone years.
I feel like he would be more liked by moderates if he distanced himself from that stuff.
But internally I understand how no one will back him as a moderate.

The weirdos took over. And I still smh at how they took over and what they’ve been able to pull off

Highly likely this fella will be the next Dem nominee for potus after Biden succumbs to dementia in a few more weeks
