The Anime and Manga Thread v48

That ending song in season one always worried me because it kinda implied that this is not real or this is just a video game simulation. (no spoilers please) And the multiple glitches, the directives, the voices the NPC hears, they all point to that conclusion or something of that kind.

I'm ain't saying nothing.

That was my complaint as well. I found his ignorance tiring around episode 4 or 5.
I made it mid way through 6. I just assumed this would stop eventually. I’ve looked online though and apparently it doesn’t. Seems to only get worse.

I've been reading a bunch of new Webtoons recently and Bad Born Blood really impressed me. Killer art and its playing with some interesting topics along the lines of Starship Troopers.

Finished Season 1 of Apothecary Diaries. I liked the sedate formula they had going.

After over coming some initial misgivings I tried Bluelock Season One and I'm absolutely hooked and I'm not really interested in soccer. I'm on ep 12 right now.

Same. Don't like soccer but Blue Lock is one of my favorite sports anime. Not interested in vollyeball but Haikyu had me hooked. Same with golf and Rising Impact or Tonbo.

Although I've said that Solo Leveling season 2 is my best anime this winter season, it's not the action that makes it great for me. The action scenes involving Sung Jin-woo for the most part just lack any deep strategy or clever choreography. The best thing about the show is the build-up and the tension especially when the other hunters are in mortal danger in a vicious dungeon. The animation is top notch also.

Pretty excited for Yaiba remake. Haven't seen the original since 1996. The only anime where I love the ending song.

Edge of Tomorrow was based on this series.
It actually started life as a novella. It's a rare case of the film adaption being superior to the book it was based on. The manga adaption is also inferior to the movie. Based on that trailer, it looks like the anime adaption is going to be pretty loose with the plot (not a bad thing, really, considering how rudimentary the novel is).

Cliffhanger leveling

Another painful week of waiting

Guy had a spark and a whole team of creatives turned it into a flame is how I look at it. Not disagreeing with you. And yes, it is quite rare where the corporate version would be better aside from being more polished.
