Guys if you want to watch a hidden gem, I've mentioned it here once before but watch "Armored Hunter Mellowlink," it's a short
12 episode anime that might still be available on youtube. It's really good and just alot of fun. Some episodes in particular are really top class stuff.

It's a spin-off from votoms franchise but quite different in many ways.

Highly recommend.

@Strychnine help convert them lol.

Just saw the first episode of Uzumaki. That shit was awesome. I gotta get more into Junji Ito's work, I've only read Tomie up to this point.

Gyo is delightfully bizarre, and the short work The Enigma of Amigara Fault is definitely worth your time (and it gets meme'd fairly regularly).

Just waiting for this one to finish so I can start it up.

Got this one downloading now. You said it's a spinoff so should we watch Votoms first?

The new Tower of God season has been a bit disappointing IMO. It's not bad just not as epic as the first season.

October has some good stuff coming up, but probably won't watch Blue Lock or Bleach until the seasons are over.

Blue Lock Season 2
Bleach Season 3
Dragon Ball DAIMA (had no idea what this was until yesterday, but it's legit canon)

I watched Shigurui Death Frenzy, and liked it so much, I beasted through the Manga.

Any fans of this on here? I thought it was amazing.

Also can anyone reccomend me some brutal Feudal Japan era manga/animes? Besides obvious stuff like Ninja Scroll

I started Wistoria and liking it so far. I tried watching the new season of Tower of God, but I'm just not interested anymore. I even watched a short recap of S1, but it's a little too slow for me.

Not really. But if you do end up watching votoms start by watching the ova's they are better than the series imo.

And come back with your thoughts on armor hunter 🙏

I loved season one of TOG and I'm not even sure why really. Just something about it really grips me and the soundtrack is awesome. Season 2 though? It just seems to miss the mark every time. There also seems to be a lot of focus on stuff I just don't give a shit about.

You might be interested in Basilisk and Y+M. They mine a lot of the same tropes as Ninja Scroll. There's also Blade of the Immortal. Ichigeki (MATSUMOTO Jiro) is a more serious hard-boiled type historical. And of course there is Vagabond and Lone Wolf and Cub. For stuff that's not quite so intensely violet but still in the martial-arts/historical genres there is Kingdom, Legend of the Northern Blade, Return of the Blossoming Blade, Nano Machine, Absolute Sword Sense, The Stallar Swordsman, Return of the Mad Demon, Gosu, Yongbi, Mujang, etc.

New bleach episode was amazing. I think I'll watch every two weeks or something. It's just torture when the episodes end.

FYI, there is a 60 day free trial to Crunchyroll going on right now.

Blasted through this show. Really enjoyed it. Nothing really new and a story that's been told before but still it was well done. Looks like season 2 was already announced.

What's good this season other than bleach. Anyone watching Dan Dan Dan?

Anybody read any interesting manga recently? I've realized that like 98% of my regular reading is currently webtoons. None of the major shonens of recent times have really connected with me (MHA, JJK, Chainsaw, etc) and I haven't been actively searching through new releases or the new rising hotness. I think Bungo and Ippo are the only two weekly (or, in the case of Ippo, "weekly") manga I'm currently reading.
