The Anime and Manga Thread v48

@method115 So based on a brief google search it seems like One Pace is the best cut of One Piece without the filler. Looks like they have been working on this for over a decade and has adapted close to 1000 episodes.

Here is the link: https://onepace.net/

They also have a discord you can join. I'm extremely tempted to start it, but I'm still going to think it over a bit lol.

Yea but I just saw someone say they are remaking it. So now I'm like maybe I should just watch that.

Fyi, the pacing of one piece can be slow, but the show itself doesn’t really have true fillers (barely) like bleach or Naruto

Looked it up and your right. Seems like there's only about 98 fillers out of 1000+ episodes.

It's cool if they remake it since the animation will be significantly improved, but by the time it gets even close to catching up I would probably be on my death bed lol. Maybe AI can use the original content and greatly remaster the animation to more modern times lol.

Started watching Ruined Kingdom and it's actually pretty good. I keep thinking they are going one way with the show and then they go another.

What OP lacks in fillers, they make it up by doing namek/freeza saga style of doing empty panning/shots to stretch each 10 minute episode.

Kingdoms of Ruin?

Yea this one here:

Starts off like any typical anime but takes a nice turn and so far seems to be staying in that lane. There have been signs that things might change soon but we will see.

Frigging amazing story bogged down by horrible art and animation. Still watched.

@JBSchroeds Well home stretch for Northen Blade getting the Main Villain and not so Main Villains Back Story , almost lulling us to sleep as the Main Character bides his time . It's been a mostly good ride and will be sad when this finishes up , which feels sooner rather than later.

Just finished up Dorohedoro on Netflix. lol, I love how absurd it is! It was more entertaining than I thought it would be, especially by episode 5. After finishing, I like all the characters and don't see it as bad vs good, or anything like that. The character that stood out the most to me is Ebisu. She is so funny in her bratty way. The shark mascot scene was the best! I read that there will be a season 2, but I haven't seen any word from Netflix on it. Hopefully it gets another season. I hear that it's pretty much you either love it or hate it.

It does seem to be barreling towards a conclusion, doesn't it.

Zoro getting stalemated by Lucci…

WSS title seems so far away. Well I guess we’ll see in like 5 years when Mihawk throws down with Zoro.

Season 2 has been announced just recently.

Fist of the North Star, Vampire Hunter D & Ninja Scroll are my top 3.

Blue Eye Samurai is something I've only just seen a small part of, but that looks to be done very well & love the animation, so can't wait to watch more of it.

Anyone have any suggestions of stuff in the style of the above?

I caught a bug recently so I watched/slept through these animes. I caught bits and pieces here and there. These are shows I probably wouldn’t watch normally.

Blue Exorcist season 2 - will continue this
Mashle season 1
Undead Unluck- I think I will continue this
Something vampire dies in no time?
Dark Gathering?
