The Anime and Manga Thread v47

I still follow it a lil bit out of curiosity, but don't really care about it anymore. Even a lot of hardcore fans are annoyed by Oda haha. They called him Loda in Worstgen forum.

Big brada Flower, tell me what's wrong with the cosplayer? Did she have dick? What you mean by that screenshot I'm hella curious.
Nothing much. Probably some contusion or blood vessels.

I thought you noticed she is trans or something.

One piece sucks ass brada. I've been following it since I'm kindergarten, still hasn't finished. And unlike in HxH, One Piece would skip good matchups if it doesn't involve our main group.
It’s not that long. The anime is just really bad with the pacing. I think Baki actually has more volumes than OP.

The length is not the worst, but Oda prioritizing sucks. So many good moments that can be told in more detail.

Like Garp and Roger God Valley Incident. Rocks Pirate, etc. But no, he chose to skip those. And then every random character like Senor Pink, Corazon backstory got told in very detailed way.

It's because he is a leftist or something. OP is a dirty communist manga. lol

Perfectly parallel lines along the top of the thigh? It's hard to tell for sure given the high level of compression artifacts in that picture, but those sure look like cutter scars to me.

Whoa there is an OP gym in japan. On a side note, I thought that woman is homely looking until she took her OP tshirt off. Her OP name is probably Big Milk.

Any anime movies you guys recommend on Hulu or Netflix? I want to DL one more movie for my 12+ hour plane ride tomorrow.
Did you watch super crooks or cyber punk yet? They aren’t movies but they were nice short series

Is Tenshura worth watching? I just remembered I got into eps 22 of the first season 3 years ago. Kind of boring and the MC is too OP imo. But I'd continue to finish it if it's good later on.

Nah. I was a manga reader and don't know how far the anime adaption got, but the manga definitly loses it as time goes on. I stopped reading probably close to two years ago at this point, and I really enjoyed the first few volumes.

One tiny detail- the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back for me was Oda putting empty panels side by side. Literally a filler even for storyboard standards. In a freaking manga.

I don't know the specific case you're referencing, but blank panels can be a legit storytelling/pacing technique. Not that I'm saying you're wrong (Oda's pacing is terrible and its why I stopped reading One Piece years ago), but it is something skilled authors can keep in their back pocket.
