It’s like an amalgam of naruto, bleach and other shonen. It seems super generic but it really picks up later. The most boring character is actually the MC even though he has a demon living in him. The show actually has really good side characters.

Whoops i meant Bastard. LOL I didn't know the official name. It's also because the spot I watch it from has Japanese names as the default. I guess look what is available and choose the nicest thumbnail without knowing about the story. I just assumed it was like Japanese version of heavy metal.

I thought it was going to be a remake of a popular manga. I honestly didn't know much about it. Some stuff ages really poorly. It just reminded me of this Chinese manhua joke where the protagonist is OP.

HAHAHAHAH this is hilarious brada. I haven't seen lots of manhua, but from what I've seen the fighting manhuas really do have OP MC.

I only read one Chinese thing during the pandemic. I honestly can't remember the name since it's a bullshit webtoon about this guy saving his GF from zombie world ending scenario. I made a mistake. I wanted to get into manga again. I just picked the longest series since I figured series with few hundred issues can't be bad since it was running for so long. It was soooo bad but I kept going past 200 issues until my ipad ran out of batteries. I was looking at on incognito mode and couldn't remember what the name of it was.

Chinese series are almost universally garbage. Not that Japan and Korea have straight bangers, there's plenty of crap from them too, but the average level of quality is like night and day. That clip NoSmilez posted isn't even exaggerating, that's the plot setup. OP character that gets stabbed in the back by his disciple and/or girlfriend, reincarnates into some random nobody, then speedruns the growth curve by stumbling on a half-dozen godly artifacts/elixers/tomes/herbs. It's so bad that I don't even bother trying something if I can tell its chinese, and I'll give almost anything a chapter or two if it catches my eye. Oh, and the other big thing is the art for the 'front cover' looks awesome, then the actual artwork is amateur-hour.
 
Lol this is getting animated. I used to read this in 2020. Basically One Punch Man in Harry Potter world. Pretty fun although not very special imo.

You ever seen their anime? These guys showed me some of their fight scenes. It’s not bad animation but I am assuming the story is terrible. I am not sure if they like that issekai trash amplified by 100 percent or they have some sort of censorship that they can’t write anything good.

I actually don't watch anime. It takes too much time. A 20 minute episode can often be read in comic form in less than five minutes.

The CCP has had its jackboot on the neck of the chinese people's creativity for 75 years now. They're four generations deep on absolute conformity and I honestly don't think they, as a culture, know how to be original anymore. It's why they have to steal everything and have zero shame about it.
