Thanks for the thread Gio, it looks great! I voted for Paddy but could have easily went with either Islam or Stevie Ray. But Everything about Paddy's sub, the way he used his striking to get the fight to the ground and then the speed with which he slapped that triangle choke on Green was impressive.

But still..Twisters are so freaky. The pain doesn’t really translate to the screen (almost anticlimactic) but I’m sure it’s tremendous.

Tough call, haven't voted yet

• Islam d'Arce - Creative short-arm technique, done during a title fight by the P4P #1 against another star, high significance
• Stevie Ray Scottish Twister - Ultra-creative move I'd never heard of before, even if it's PFL and not UFC that's still crazy technique and presence of mind to pull that off in the heat of the moment especially in an MMA match rather than BJJ

So it's really a question of whether you value significance more, or the creativity and technicality of the move in a vacuum

Other thoughts:

• Ortega arm triangle - disqualified because Ortega held the sub after the ref told him to stop (but also not the best sub of the year anyways)
• Khamzat RNC - imo an RNC isn't creative enough to be sub of the year

Paddy did amazing against Green, and what a way to finish the fight and shut many people up!
Hopefully he’ll fight again in March (London), that would be awesome

I've never even heard of a Scottish Twister..I'm such a noob...

If you're a noob then I'm a noob too. I have no idea what it is but I still voted for it.

The main difference between a Scottish twister and a normal twister is the position of the hands:

• Normal twister
  The hand closest to the legs is placed on the wrist, and the other hand is placed above it.
• Scottish twister
  The hand closest to the legs is placed on the wrist, and the other hand is placed above it, then switched over the head.
