You don't get a rematch when you lose in 5 seconds. The only way they fight again is if they both end up challenging for the same belt. And Ben's never going to get close to a UFC belt, in any division. If he wins the rematch in dominant fashion he will be redeemed no?
We will never forget this but that's the same with any memorabke results.
It's not as if that's the fastest KO ever, there has been several faster....not that it matters.
Not just youCompletely happy with it and I really like Ben. I don't know if it's just me, but I love extremely spectacular quick KTFOs!
The first words out of my mouth when it happened: "That was one of the most awesome things I have ever seen in my life!"Even if you were a Ben Askren hater you have to admit you wanted to see the fight last longer. Just like we all wanted to see the Conor vs. Aldo fight last longer even those of us who badly wanted to see Aldo lose.
Ben's 2 fights in the UFC have both been disappointing. 1st fight - Herb Dean robs us of a definitive ending and then 2nd fiht lasts a few seconds.
I guess now a Robbie Lawler rematch is next for Ben....either that or Darren Till.
I think he can get back up and solidify a couple decent wins....he still has a good 1 or 2 years left and his style doesn't rely on explosiveness/power, meaning more longevity.
Given Dana's past attitude toward Askren, he might not get the rematch. It may become a case of "I told you so."Awesome KO which was cool to see, but I’d rather see noname fighters do these quick finishes as I want to know who is the best and a fight that ends in 2 seconds only tells me one guy messed up and the other one got very lucky. Hopefully they rematch at some point. I think a Askren should be able to beat Masvidal quite easily under normal circumstances and Masvidal for sure deserves to get wrestlefucked by Askren after his despicable antics and late shots.
It truly is amazing when an entire fight fits inside an AVYou don't get a rematch when you lose in 5 seconds. The only way they fight again is if they both end up challenging for the same belt. And Ben's never going to get close to a UFC belt, in any division.
Nope. Askren is not a big name fight. He never was rightfully. Just over blown hype that was never UFC level. I mean I guess you're right punk vs gall was a big fight
This Is very stupid. Chael at least beat some very good to great fighters throughout his career.
He’s not a jobber at all.
