The change in his body structure was alarming. He literally morphed a Dad bod out there. Spread rib cage, tire around his waist, no muscle tone. Dad bod. His body looked NOTHING like he did even 6 years ago

I hope Nick is ok. Sucks to get crushed like that.
He was right about matchmaking "whomever set this up is an idiot"(c) , they should have given him Donald Cerrone, would have been fair at this point + actually fight at welterweight, not 185 cuz obviosely Nicks shape was not the best

From the starting half-assed spinning shit thrown by Nick, we could see that Nick Diaz wasn't in his usual Triathlon fitness level for this fight.

That being said, Nick stood in there and banged with Robbie Lawler, and Robbie complied...

Nick was visibly far removed from his prime, but showed all the heart of old, till he was out of breath and battered and bleeding.

Thank you Nick Diaz. Me and the boys got together for this. Been a while, especially with covid bs...

We were hyped, and we still are.

Glad you had fun. For the first round, I did too. But it became clear that Nick wasn't in fighting shape, especially when it came to 5-rounds, especially when he pushed the UFC and Lawler's hand to make the fight at 185 a week before weigh-in's. Nick looked like a fighter who need a check and hopefully the few hundred thousand he makes from the UFC was well worth it. This is why I say that retired legends need to stay in the past. Nick hasn't won a fight since 2012 and hasn't competed since 2015. There was just little point to see him compete, and people GENUINELY thought he would go out and smoke Lawler last night. Nick will always be tough and gritty, but last night confirms everything I've said leading up to this actual fight. Nick just wasn't in it, he hasn't had his head in the game for many years.

Whats up my friend! Hope all is well

I'm well RJ, thanks for asking hope everything is good with you and your family. Hey do you think Nick quit? I have no problem with it if he did. Looked like he didn't want to be there and he had enough and didn't want anymore punishment

Who knows if he had covid, was sick, injured etc the last few months and decided not to pull out. Jake Shields made a tweet saying he only had 6 weeks to train because he was convinced to take the fight over money instead of his heath. Really only Nick knows.

What was obvious is he didn't have any training camp, just showed up.

He was doing gym openings / seminars with Cesar just a few weeks ago which was obviously a bad sign. Fighters in a camp don't stop training to do meet and greets, seemed crazy, now we know why.

He tapped to strikes and brought shame on the 209 disgusting

There's a difference between confidence and delusion bordering on denial.
Nick Diaz was not conditioned whatsoever for this fight whilst Lawler was, and tried to win this fight based on being game alone.
Diaz needs to take fighting seriously if he should continue.

I think delusional is great if you have your game plan right and focus the brainwash on what you need to do. It is the best way to win the maximum number of fights your skill set can win. The Diaz brothers aren't any worse on delusion than any other fighters. They just have a more brash method of projecting it and are perhaps more vocal because their fan base likes it.

He said himself if he lost he wanna comeback so I hope he sticks to his word. Love watching Nick fight

It was a fun fight. He did look a weight class bigger than Robbie but I think it helped Robbie in the cardio department he was the smaller guy. Hope we can get more wars from him

You forget to consider the fact that Nick Diaz, and other fighters like him... are human beings.

These guys are at work, earning their income. This is a PROFESSIONAL sport.

I've been supporting Nick for a very long time. I'm a fan. Just because he doesn't look as good now, it doesn't mean that I'm going to stop supporting him. I'm not a fair-weather fan. If he wants to do it till his contract is up, then I support his decision. Anderson was the same way. These guys have earned the right to go out the way they want.

And if Dana doesn't want to continue paying Nick, then release the man from contract.

What I meant to say was not "delusional" in the sense of being brash and having confidence, which is great and what basically puts the Diaz brothers a step above the rest. What I meant to say was Nick being delusional about his ability to fight & win with confidence alone in his last fight, whilst clearly having neglected any kind of strength & conditioning. He literally waltzed back into the UFC hoping and believing that "being a badass" was enough. And it's really not, any pro fighter should know that. Your body will fail you if you don't put in the work, as it did for Nick here.

I'm very well aware of the fact that Nick is a human being lol. And you mention "professional" but yet he refused to meet the original weight limit of 171 lbs, and he came in looking out of FIGHTING shape. He will always be in great cardio shape, I don't think that was a problem. But he came in heavy, looked slow, and his punches did nothing to keep Robbie out of his face because everything was slow and the power was non-existent, despite the volume.

And all I'm saying is that at the end of the day, guys ruin their name by coming out of retirement like this just to get stopped and quit like he did. Nick hasn't won a fight since like October 2011, that's nearly a DECADE. If you were really a fan, then you would be supporting what I'm saying because to save his health he shouldn't be taking fights like this.

Also, I very much agree with the Dana contract situation. He holds these guys in their contracts. I don't know exactly how many fights Nick has, but if it's like 2 fights left then maybe he should just fight them out. But he 1000000% needs to be at 171 lbs. to be taken seriously.

Yes Thank You Nick Diaz

1) Thank you for 1 fight in 10 years ...
2) Thank you for partying and smoking weed
3) Thank you for bringing a hot blonde party girl to stay in your Hotel Room
4) Thank you for missing weight

And most important .. thank you for the truckload of cash I just won when you QUIT beginning of Round 3. Thank you. Thank you.

I am winning so much cash right now ... If Valentina wins I win more cash .. if Valentina loses I get a new house ... Either way I can't lose
Looks like you still live in your dogshit apartment and you are a loser in life with that post does that count?

Nick hasn't actually fallen off too hard from the state he was in when he fought GSP or Anderson. Yes, he's showing his age a bit, but people are way over-attributing this to rust/age. If Nick were in good physical shape, he would have won the fight pretty handily IMO. It's really clear that he had some kind of injury or he's going through something mentally right now. Apparently he had no idea it was going to be Lawler until six weeks out.

Regardless, I think he should take this opportunity to diversify and retire, but he'll probably be back to fight for money and it'll be really sad.

Butt hurt Nick Diaz Fan Boy your guy Lost ..... I won so much cash from him quitting ... and all the rest of them literally every bet won ... it was a great night ..I cleaned the casino here out they made me wait forever before paying .. everything in cash with no taxes or other manipulations you get from Casinos in America .. sorry sir you need a players card .. sorry sir you must complete this IRS form or we will withhold 30% of your winnings .... Sorry sir my supervisor must approve and he doesn't come back until Monday ...

Gambling over here is GREAT ... everything in cash .. NO TAXES.

I knew Diaz was just showing up for a paycheck .. I knew he would lose .. and most important I knew the fight would not be a fix ... so I put my balls out there and won BIG.

Diaz was a great fighter in his day and could've beaten Lawler if he TRIED .. but you could see from his shape he did'n't train hard .. could'nt make weight ... brings a hot blonde to his hotel to bang before the fight .. it was obvious in every way Diaz could not win. Lawler has been a hard worker, drug free, married, dedicated to the sport full time etc. Everything Diaz isn't. Yes Diaz is naturally better than LAwler but he isn't willing to do the hard work .. The only way for Diaz to come back is with YEARS of hardcore training...

Oh yea ... I cleaned out the casino that night .. You should have seen the looks on the peoples faces when I cashed all those winning tickets ... Oh yea ...
