International Thailand and Cambodia

But the Thai armed forces dwarf Cambodias, something like 3 to 1 in terms of personnel and significantly better armed. Cambodia is launching rockets and Thailand throws up an F-16.
You could also say the same about Russia and Ukraine in the early stages of the war. Also, not sure who to believe but Cambodians claiming to have shot down F-16’s and Thai’s saying that none were shot down. It reminds me of the recent india and Pakistan conflict.

Apparently Cambodia are lighting up Thai civilians areas after the ceasefire.

Thousands of Thai civilians who lived along those border are displaced.

Missus is extremely angry. She thinks the Thai government is extremely ineffective, and deliberately so.

All so they can make a trade deal where we tariff everything from them at 15%, no tariffs on our good that now have total access to their countries, and they have to donate some amount of money to invest in the US. Trump is a genius

The US is the hottest country in history at the moment! Bigly HOT!

I don't think that my missus will be happy with a ceasefire.

I think she'll be angered that Cambodia hasn't been punished enough.

The stand-in PM for Thailand doesn't actually have any authority over the Thai Military.

The real PM, Thaksin's daughter - tried to relieve the General of the 2nd Army... and got reminded by him that he doesn't answer to her nor the government.

This was before the bordering cities were placed under Martial Law.

This government party has the reputation of being inept, and are constantly under ridicule.

The Thai people stand behind the Army.

I don't know under what authority the substitute PM of Thailand brokered for a ceasefire... but the army has made it clear that for a as long as Cambodia was targeting civilian areas in Thailand, then they would retaliate accordingly.

That being said, I hope Cambodia will honor their word and stop firing at Thai civilians. This way, the Thai army can declare the area to be safe, and the hundred thousand people who had to move away from their homes can finally return.

Live above poster stated, Thais are not happy with a ceasefire since women and children were killed. They want justice for the lives lost...

But, I think it is a good time for Peace. Peace is always better than war. No one else needs to die.

Cambodia has been operating like Hamas- setting up their launchers in civilian areas so Thais cannot bomb them with Jets... and Cambodia has also been firing into schools and hospitals. Meanwhile Hun Sen's wife came on tv and cried about Cambodians having to flee their home after being attacked by Thais...

So, Here's to hoping that Cambodia shows some integrity, and honors their word.

Trump eating in Scotland. So much so that Shertifa has been hiding in a stupid thread about golf to avoid having to spin Trump drinking the EU’s milkshake and putting these two on timeout during his supposed “vacation”

My ex ladyboy girlfriend is from sisaket and told me some of the village had to relocate but as of yet her parents did not I'm sure she is happy with this news.

The shooting has continued after the cease fire, several Thai soldiers were killed in the afternoon after the agreement.

Is it time to bulk buy Cambodia flags, or will the Palestine fashion trend continue for a while longer?

Yeah, I don't think the fighting will stop.

I don't know what the Cambodian military thinks about their government, but it seems like the Thai military, who answer only to the King I think? Don't respect their government all that much anyway. I think they've even ousted former PMs in the past?

I don't know much about Thailand. I don't really follow it, but anyone related to Thaksin needs to go.

I'm not well schooled in either countries history but here is my understanding of the situation in Thailand. About 10 years ago the military staged a coup and took over the government. I can't remember the excuse they used and always promised to hold elections eventually.

They finally held the elections last year and the people's choice was Pita I think his name is and he looked like a breath of fresh air. Unfortunately the military controlled government, through some very questionable maneuvering, found a way to disqualify Pita and the military has remained in power. The PM is a bit of a figurehead I think.

One thing that caught my attention is how affective the Thai government propaganda is. The Thai's I know are really pissed. I'm not saying they don't have a right to be mad but I saw a few of the reels floating about the web and they paint the Thai side as completely innocent and Cambodia as poverty stricken liars.

It's interesting as governments all do this shit but seeing it done someplace else makes it more obvious because I don't have the emotional attachment. It makes it easier to see it when our government does the same shit.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe Cambodia was in the Right with their actions in trying to rid Thailand of Nazis..

No shit about the propaganda...

She's just watching video after video of news, angry Thais, patriotic videos and songs, even laughing at Cambodian soldiers being exploded. I don't mind patriotism, but watching all this for hours at a time can't be good...

Then again, when was the last time that we had to deal with enemies directly on our doorstep? How would our current day society handle attacks on Brighton or New York?

Yeah I don't know enough about it and I'm sure as shit not asking her about it. My ears are bleeding already, and I've had earphones on...

This is something you should ask Sherbro,

You might have married a Nazi…
