She's just watching video after video of news, angry Thais, patriotic videos and songs, even laughing at Cambodian soldiers being exploded. I don't mind patriotism, but watching all this for hours at a time can't be good...

Then again, when was the last time that we had to deal with enemies directly on our doorstep? How would our current day society handle attacks on Brighton or New York?

That's what I'm saying, very interesting to watch the propaganda machine in action. You don't always recognize it when it's being done to us.

The internet has been concerning me as of late. I see some threads on here, looking for a neutral discussion, and then I go to YouTube and Facebook and my front page is filled with Right wing, Muslim horror outrage porn. I also pay attention to the media reaction to certain crimes.

We are being manipulated constantly, by varying sides.

Judging by what the missus has been watching, it isn't over at all.

Landmines are still being placed on Thai territory, soldiers are still being hurt and the Thai military are making roads into the mountains and moving defences to the border.

Western news outlets seem to be oddly quiet about it though.

You could also say the same about Russia and Ukraine in the early stages of the war. Also, not sure who to believe but Cambodians claiming to have shot down F-16’s and Thai’s saying that none were shot down. It reminds me of the recent india and Pakistan conflict.

They do not have an air force lol and they also don't have any high alt Air defense, and hardly any medium air defense. Cambodia basically is defenseless against Thailand air force

Really very little true reporting I have seen, almost none. I have heard reports of 10,000 Cambodian troops killed and that the Cambodians were not collecting their dead. Supposedly the area had a putrid smell.

Hard to believe that many died. Has there been any battle footage or aftermath released?

It is really hard to figure out what is going on there.
