Crime Texas: Two fat hillbillies kill a Father over garbage

Agreed - however I think that helps conclude that his intention was to kill rather than to self defend.
Yeah, I have absolutely no doubt these bozos were the kind of gun owners that fantasize hypothetical defensive gun uses

I mean for fucks sake look at how they shit all over the intentions of stand your ground laws. The spirit of the law is quite clearly to prevent citizens from having to fear that they have to think "is this is a situation that i have to run away? Can I even run away from this guy? Is he faster than me?"

One does not have to think further than the fact that they said "take yer swing" lol

Is that the case even if they instigated the incident by throwing the guy's mattress out of the dumpster right in front of him? Does that mean I could go around dumping peoples trash cans out on the street until someone inevitably yells at me and then pull my gun?

Even if Mr Miller was within his rights to do that, they supposedly held a gun to the lady's head afterwards. That's certainly not acceptable seeing as how she was no threat and just shows that these guys are a couple of scumbags.
I am in no way doubting those morons would hold the girl and brother at gun point but I see no proof other than her word, I would argue that should be a charge on itself but it wouldnt have any bearing on the murder charge.

I will say by the same token I believe they held the brother and sister at gun point , I would say that orange shirt man already said something violent before the guns came out

In regards to your hypothetical. I dont know. Going through someone's trash and dumping it out sounds like a crime, if what they did by dumping the mattress on his yard was a crime then just about everything after wards would not be justified legally

I thought don’t mess with Texas was about littering not throwing stuff away

Wow, was this posted already?

Box told KTXS, a local TV channel, that this was the first time the neighbors had spoken to one another.

Howard and Miller began shouting at each other, Box said. Then John Miller pulled a handgun out of his shorts and his son arrived with a shotgun. Box started to record.

If true, what a way to introduce yourself to the neighbor!

So aside from all the bickering and arguing here, (for entertainment-sake) I'd say the system is going to handle this appropriately.

Those two will likely be charged with murder. Or at the Very Least Manslaughter for the elder and murder for the younger.

The system can't stop this shit from happening in a free society, but can deal with it afterwards within its capabilities, and I feel certain that will happen here.

I realize this thread has gone quiet now, but since I’ve just stumbled upon it today, perhaps I could help clear a few things up.

My husband Aaron, myself, his brother Justin and Justin’s 3 children all rode into the alley in our suburban that morning to clear off our storage trailer. The children waited inside the truck while we started to move stuff off the trailer into our backyard. Aaron saw the mattress sitting by our fence so he moved it back to the (community) dumpster. John Miller then comes out of his own backyard, grabs the mattress and throws it back on our property in front of Aaron. He yells for John to put it back so it gets hauled off and John says he’s “not putting shit back.” Aaron said something to the effect of “fuck you, put it back,” and that’s when John said “no, fuck you, I’m not doing it” and pulled the pistol out of his shorts and pointed it right at Aaron, who was standing in front of the truck with the kids inside. They argued for a few seconds before the son, Michael Miller, looked out their back gate, stepped back in the yard for less than 3 seconds and came out with the shotgun. So now he had 2 guns on him in plain view of his nieces and nephew, not to mention me and his brother.

Justin ran around to get his kids out of the truck and as he was taking them inside our house to safety, he was also on the phone with 911. I saw earlier in the thread someone mentioned no answer from them, but he did get through and they dispatched an officer our way. That’s exactly why I started recording in the first place because they knew we had called the police, and I was just praying they would get there and diffuse the situation before anyone got hurt. Obviously they didn’t arrive until it was too late.

It’s really easy to judge when you only know part of the story and to say who should have done what and when if it’s not you who is directly involved in it. That was the worst day of my life and every damn day I think about everything I maybe could or should have done differently, but even so, I would still have only been in control of my own actions. You can call us all the names you’d like, say we’re crazy, say he shouldn’t have been acting so enraged (even though the Millers knowingly wielded guns in front of the children) but crazy/psycho or not, stupid bitch or not, it still wouldn’t change the fact that the Millers brought the confrontation to us and not only murdered my husband, but endangered 3 children, and held Justin and I at gunpoint afterwards telling us they would kill us too if we even moved. I was holding Aaron in my arms, holding pressure on his head and chest wounds with my hands, with a pistol pointed at my head by John. And Justin was lying facedown in the alley while Michael had the shotgun pressed right on Justin’s forehead. They were still holding us like that when police finally arrived, yelled for them to drop their weapons and immediately arrested them.

After we gave our statements to the detectives, they told us the Millers both gave statements that closely matched ours, so they have all but confessed as well. They’re guilty of not just murder, but so many other charges that I’m hoping to see added soon.

The Well Regulated Milita strikes again.

Hopefully those two fat rednecks get to share a cell with Fleece Johnson.

Don't act like sherdog's WR isnt the most important political message board on the net.

I said important, not well known. ;)

Ohhhhh. So it's a small audience comprised of mainly powerful and influential folks? Kara might have friends in high places. Sounds like the two fat rednecks are fucked.

He is just mad about his like to post ratio.

Goes to show what you know. I'm actually surprised it's as close as it is.

How the heck does this thread have 1000 replies. What has everyone been captivated by?

I probably don't want to know.

Very influential people, only the best and brightest. My post to like ratio obviously reflects my high intelligence.

Sorry for your loss. Don't let anything anyone said in here bother you. The people who portray the murderers as heroes only do that because they identify with them, both in their longing to shoot someone and their morbid obesity. It's clear to anyone decent and sane that these guys belong in prison.

He just wanted to kill somebody I guess. Couldn't wait.

Ummm

Can we get a confirmation on this, mods? If that is real, would a lawyer advise something like this?

If what is real and advise on what, exactly? Not trying to be snarky. Honestly curious.
