Crime Texas: Two fat hillbillies kill a Father over garbage

Just stumbled on it today and got curious.

Well then thanks for taking the time to share. Since you're here, can you tell us how the baseball bat came into play? I think many of us are confused on why someone would stand up to two guys with guns by arming himself with a baseball bat.

He wasn’t handed the bat until seconds before the shooting happened. Justin grabbed it from inside our backyard because he said he didn’t want Aaron to be completely unarmed and that was all we had. He was handed the bat and that’s when I stepped in front of John and told him he wasn’t going to shoot my husband. Within a couple of seconds, and without Aaron swinging, John fired the pistol past my head and hit Aaron twice in the chest. That’s when you see how far away he is and that the bat actually bounces off the ground first before hitting John, and then Michael fired, shooting him in the head.

Why did you allow your husband to escalate the situation until he got himself killed? As in, why did no one step in to point out what he was doing was out of control? Not one peep from you other than further escalating the situation by proclaiming "You're not going to shoot my husband". You're living in America, a nation that values self-defense. Screaming you're going to kill someone over and over, acting extremely aggressive, and asking other people to get your gun is likely not going to end well when you have two people unwilling to back down from your bullying. I might believe you're really real, as you also posted the video on facebook - correct? The video that will likely exonerate the two shooters.

troll? one of @Jack V Savage / @Trotsky alt accts for more shits and gigs?

Troll is what I think, I dont know who. Multiple google searches didn't turn up anything. So the story of stumbling across sherdog is very unlikely. Its fucked up if it's a troll.

It's not a new thing to Sherdog. It happens every day on here especially in the WR. Lots of trickery befouling this place.

Honestly, it might not sound like it on the video, but it took everything I had to keep from panicking. I'd never had a gun pulled in front of my face before, much less two. Aaron yelled for him to call 911 as Justin ran to get his children out of the truck and inside safely with my mother. They dispatched a unit to us so the only thing I could think of to do was to start recording in case anything were to happen. It just all happened so fast the police didn't get there in time.
And you know what? I ask myself every single day "what could I have done differently?" I wish now that I had tried to say something or drag him away, but I'm not sure if I would have been able to. But it doesn't matter what I should have said or done now, because he's still gone.

And no, I only released the video to reputable news stations. And the video along with everything else that transpired that morning will absolutely secure them a lengthy prison sentence.

I believe I was searching Reporter-News.com Aaron Howard.

Thanks. I think the bat entering into things is part of the divide. That and him making death threats. So when it appears an aggressive move is made toward the redneck #1, lots of people see that as self-defense. Personally I thought because your man was being goaded into taking a swing that this is murder, not self-defense.

Subsequently holding guns to your heads seems to be more widely considered indefensible.

How at the time did the shooters justify their actions? There must have been some conversation between y'all after the video ends. What was said? What did you hear them tell the police?

The only “conversation” between any of us were them yelling at Justin first to get on the ground (which can be heard right before the camera shuts off) and then John telling us that if we moved at all, they would kill us too. Aaron was still alive at this point so me and Justin kept telling him to stay down while I was trying to hold him down, cause John kept repeating he would kill us if we moved. Once the police and the EMTs got there, I was too focused on Aaron.

If what is real and advise on what, exactly? Not trying to be snarky. Honestly curious.

Is it going to jeopardize the investigation, you talking about the case on an internet forum?

It is just amazing that something as simple as a mattress next to a dumpster could escalate to such a tragic end.

If its a community dumpster I just can't understand Miller's reaction. Certainly the Murder charge is in order, and rightly so. Terrible.

I wouldn’t think it would jeopardize anything since I’ve already given statements and all that. And absolutely the murder charge is in order.

Perhaps, but certainly you wouldn't want to do anything to help those guys get off in any way.

So senselessly tragic... Condolences, and good luck moving on from this.

Never thought about that, that's a good point. In my CHL class my instructor stressed that you should always be trying to defuse a situation and not look like you are in any way further instigating one.

If the guys really did tell the cops that they pointed guns at him from the beginning then they are going to jail.

It's how I've always understood it. But jurisdictions vary.
