I think that without the rule of law, we live in a banana republic. I regularly accuse the US of being so for the very reason, that the rule of law is not being honored.

True, however he says that after the psychopath has promised murder and bodily assault, time and again.

It's not like he is sitting there saying take swing, without the other guy screaming I will murder you and your son.

I don't agree. I think it makes him an idiot.

Nothing he did, can change that he had a legit reason to fear for his life, and defend himself.
 
Anybody find it strange that the orange shirt dude's family was basically egging him on? Considering the dudes history with mental illness and specifically "explosive personality disorder", I get the morbid feeling the family breathed a sigh of relief when he finally died...

Just consider the fact that the dudes family knew about his mental illness and did absolutely nothing to stop the situation, instead egged him on ... orange shirt dude was probably barely even mentally all there when he was raging ... and the family knows how he gets like and instead of stopping him they encouraged him to repeatedly threaten two armed hillbillies ... her kids are apparently on scene and the lady doesn't think "RUN" when she sees two hillbillies with guns ... yeah it was murder alright ...

Prosecutor will waste tax dollars, bluffing at this guy. All he has to do is call the bluff.

I’ve seen this before. You’ve probably seen this before too that’s why the gears in your brain are turning and going, hmmmm, that not the expected response from normal people. There is a reason the psycho-guy’s wife and kid won’t intervene. Fear.

Imagine this guy half-blind on a weekend bender. His wife and son know exactly what happens if they stand in front of him.

My understanding of self-defense is that in order to be in the right you don't encourage violence. When it comes to guarding a dumpster, I'm not so sure every jury is gonna be sympathetic. If you're holding him to police officer standards then yeah, suspension with pay while he gets cleared. Doubt that's how it goes though.

The prosecutor is going to mail this one in if it even gets that far.
 
Texas juries are more concerned with defending gun rights than the actual case at hand. Lol

What got him killed was gettting involved in something this stupid in the first place. Having a dispute with your neighbors? Great. Don't give them the time of day. Especially over something this petty. Allowing it to escalate to even screaming in the first place is absurd. If it does, call the Police. Having that sort of attitude on both sides got this dude shot and these other two justifiably charged with murder. As someone else pointed out there is a level of responsiblity that comes with carrying a firearm that most people just don't have, and every single "adult" involved in this scenario is proof positive of that.
