What I do remember quite vividly is a man repeatedly being told to stand down by 911 operators but just couldn’t help himself.

In fact, if I recall, Mr. Horn himself later regretted his actions.

so? The instructions of a 911 dispatcher are not law. Those two pieces of trash would likely be alive if they'd surrendered when he confronted them. One was for sure witnessed running toward him.

The girl fliming is saying the old man didn't pull the gun, until after the verbal altercation has already started. It is going to be he said, she said. He will say the guy threatened him, and that is when he pulled the gun(I find that credible with the way the other psychopath was acting), she will say he pulled it for no reason.

If you want to get him for something, he apparently pulled the gun from basketball shorts, and not a holster. Guns have to be holstered by law. There you go, charge them with that then.

He didn’t even have to leave his house. He created this “confrontation” of which you speak. The burglars were not heading towards his home next for a “two-in-one.” Lol

The 911 call is extremely damning. He was a vigilante cowboy but hey... it’s Texas so of course he was acquitted.

I don’t defend criminals but other people’s property isn’t worth killing over. Especially when the only “danger” the “hero” was in seems extremely fabricated.

It’s pretty clear this guy just waited for a toe to come across his lawn so he could try Castle Doctrine on for size.

This is simple. Did they have reason to fear for their lives? Any sane person should answer yes. If your answer is yes, then it is a legal shooting.

Call his anger justified all you want for the old man pulling the gun, it doesn't excuse that threatening murder, grabbing a weapon, and charging a person, makes it legal to shoot that person.
