Hey man, the thing is musk will get dumped by Tesla. If this keeps up, Tesla will go on as a company but musk will no longer be the head of it. I would imagine that's the goal. It's not like this protest is going to end the electric car market....

And I think you're confused about my position because I don't support these protesters burning down people's cars. I think it's dangerous and wrong and immoral. I do think given musk's recent activity it's inevitable but I do not condone it and would never partake in it myself and I'm not defending it.

There are far better ways to protest Elon (and Telsa) that won't alienate most of the country and end up backfiring.

And I also agree... Elon should probably step down from all three companies while working with the White House - SpaceX, Starlink and Tesla. Or take minority a position. And he should do it voluntarily

I originally thought it was a Tesla dealership. It turns out that it was Tesla collision center.

It definitely still affects Musk since it was a Tesla owned facility. Either Telsa itself or their insurance will have to cover the cost. The owners will be made whole since it's Telsa's responsibility to protect the cars while under its stewardship. It might even be better for some of them since their cars were in a collision center and they may end up with brand new cars.

Secondly, if people stop buying Telsas because of increased insurance costs or fear of vandalism then that also negatively hurts Musk.

There is no planet in which I'm going to give one iota of a fuck about any of that if Musk is directly responsible for the deaths of 1 million people. Cry harder.
