I can't really make out whether he considers himself a Muslim or not anymore from his twitter. He doesn't seem to be a fundamentalist Muslim I'm pretty confident about that, as he's very pro womens rights. He's anti immigration but that doesn't mean he's not Muslim.

Eh, I can maybe buy that in war torn countries like Syria, Iraq, Libya etc, not so much Saudi.

A bunch of the African girls like to do lunch in my class. They take jabs at each other constantly about who comes from the African nation with the better food, or more precisely, which country does some more broadly regional dish better. They share and teach each other traditional dances. They tells stories and laugh about their strict parents and roast each other constantly about getting in trouble for this or that. And they complain about how frigging cold it is.

And then they do each other's nails and hair, and they practice routines to contemporary North American pop songs that they perform at assemblies with their dance crew they've formed with some of the Asian girls and white girls, and they work on their Shakespeare homework together, and they talk about the latest or next wrestling practice because I have successfully convinced half of them to join the team, all while speaking English, the only language they all share in common.

There's no cohesive shared "51% immigrant identity" that is going to trample the 49% native born identity. The cohesive shared identity is that of the school (small scale) and of their new home country (large scale).

They're involved but what I mean is there aren't kids growing up seeing members of their families be killed and mutilated by bombs. Those are the ones I worry about becoming terrorists more. I don't think you could really make any serious scientific arguement for any genetic predisposition to terrorism

So I've looked a bit more into the MAOA gene and from what I can make out so far it's more likely to cause aggressive behaviour when the person with the gene experiences childhood abuse which could tie in with kids in war torn countries who have that gene.
