It has nothing to do with boxing.

Reflexes are reflexes. When you get older they get slower. Simple biology.

Floyd is known for his phenomenal reflexes and countering prowess.

So is Conor. Difference being, he's in his prime.

Floyd being a 40 year old man, being out of the game for 2 years, it was the first time in a long time I can recall his opponent having that edge.

Doesnt seem like you're much interested in going past the surface of anything.

Much as you seem to speak of boxing as if you're a student of the game or something.

reflexes are certainly not just reflexes. Floyds reflexes in a BOXING ring are almost second to none historically. He will have better boxing reflexes when he is 60 than Connor would have at 25.

I have boxed for years, have been watching since the 80's. I actually would consider myself a student of the game a bit. Not like your analysis of course but there are levels..

I'm not sure if you realize this but when you're older, your reflexes get slower. There will be a marked difference in comparison to an athlete in their prime.

This is regardless of sport.

Floyd has always had this edge over his opponents. His reflexes and countering prowess have always been phenomenal. Among the best in boxing history. However, he's 40. Doesnt matter how long he's been boxing, they still fade.

you are not understanding. If I played Michael Jordan in a game of one on one when he is 60 years old and I am 40 he will still fuck me up. His BASKETBALL reflexes will always be better than mine regardless of the age gap. This is pretty evident but you will still argue won't you? You seem like the type of lad who almost never learns anything from another person. that's called arrogance...

I was talking about reflexes in general. Physiology. The kind of shit you lose with age.

Conor has exceptional skills, but it's the cardio that regularly fails him.

I don't think Floyd being 40 is the number here, but Conor being 0-0 in a boxing ring. The difference in experience matters more than difference in age.
