Tank and Loma were negotiating. Loma said he didn't want to fight this year. I don't work in the business, I don't know the specifics of the past 8 years. I don't trust the Top Rank PR machine, and PBC has no problem working with others to make big fights. There were negotiations for this November, and Loma said "nah". Seems pretty clear to me. Hopefully he regains his fighting spirit and they fight next year. I've never really understood of this fight given how bad Loma looked in his loss to Teo. I don't think this fight will be competitive, and wouldn't have been in the past 3-4 years.
The undercard is a much more pressing concern than complaining about a better opponent. Every other top LW is with Matchroom or TR. I do wish Tank had accepted the fight with Rayo at 140, but Pitbull had a rematch clause (which I wouldn't be exercising if I was team Pitbull). I need an intriguing undercard, and usually PBC stacks Tank cards. Also stunned this isn't in DC, but I'm' guessing the Houston location foreshadows a Charlo appearance.
