Take me over

Thanks all for the replies. I've read them all. I'll respond in time.

I think you need to stop acting like a teenage girl, if you are gonna keep watching those shitty korean shows then at least don't envy the guys in there. Is every white guy Chris Hemsworth? Every black guy Michael B Jordan? Be a fucking man! If you are an asian wannabe white guy then at least watch some yakuza movies! Those korean shows have good looking people because they are made for teenage girls who only care about handsome boys! You are obsessed about korean who are obsessed about how people look.

Men doesn't say wow this character is so handsome, they say Walter White and Tony Soprano are cool af! You probably think those cringe badboys in the korean tv shows are cool hahahahahah
Korean men are not into those fucking tv shows

''Oh, the Korean men in those K-Dramas wear wicked suits.'' Wft is this lol

Why the hell would I want to be Walter White or Tony Soprano? One is a cucked cancer patient who snaps and another is a bitter, racist murderer. Both die at the end.

There was a study on middle-aged people in the process of losing weight. Actual middle-age, ages 40-60. They found that if the participants ate enough protein (1g per 1lb of ideal body weight a day) and did light resistance training (some sort of Pilates) a few times a week, about 90% of the weight they lost was from fat and not muscle. There were other participant groups that measured what happened if they 1. didn't eat enough protein, or 2. didn't do any resistance training. If someone only ate the recommended minimum value of protein (1g per 1kg of ideal body weight a day) and didn't do any resistance exercise, about 60% of the weight lost was fat and the remaining 40% was muscle. The split was about 50/50, meaning 50% of the effect is from protein and 50% is from resistance exercise.

The point being that if you eat about 180 grams of protein a day, and do any kind of resistance training, even very basic stuff with light weights, almost all of the weight you lose will be fat. As long as those two points are hit, it becomes 100% a diet game. The specifics of what you do at the gym aren't important, just make sure you don't get injured.

Alright, if I missed anything, my apologies. I'm replying by phone.

I need to make my diet optimal. Plenty of chicken, five fruit and veg a day. It's just putting it into practice that's the problem. I'm a godawful cook and all attempts to cook, following instructions and YouTube clips, have led to failure and health hazards. It's a skill that I really appreciate, it's just something that has never clicked for me. The fact that my oven is screwed is a bit of a issue too. I feel a little childish relying on my missus to make dinner. She has been cooking since she was very young and basically assumes all cooking duties, which I am grateful for. She's a damn near goddess in the kitchen. Maybe it bothers me because I feel like it's childish on my part?

In terms of exercise? I actually may be the strongest that I've ever been, it's just that my mobility is bunk and I feel like a fat fuck. I have to be consistent. I've found it hard as of late, due to work and having to go through paperwork regarding the home that I'm buying. I also don't stretch enough. I've actually been looking at DDPY. His stuff with rehabbing addicts and crippled people looked great.

I think that the Korean thing stems from the fact that I live a very boring life, in a very boring setting. I don't feel cultured or intelligent at all. I also have issues settling down and, though I can remember things, I find it difficult to recall it in conversation. I am wondering if spending time away from everything, including the internet, could help.

I also bought the Abroad in Japan book off Amazon. Should be an easy start. His videos on YouTube are tops.

Any advice for me on what to do in London? I've seen the War Museum and National History Museum. I may go to the Science Museum at some point. Last time I passed it, protesters were protesting something or other.

I may also go to an art gallery, cross my arms, rub my chin and think up pretentious bullshit.

Also, I don't have AIDs but if I did, I may be able to lose some weight.

Your excuse of being an awful cook is kinda lame man. You don't have to be Gordon Ramsay to cook chicken, broccoli, coliflower, fish, rice etc... If you got two arms you're good to go.

You need to avoid fast-food, sodas, candies and other shit like that.

As for London, it's an endless city. You got many things to do such as museums, parks, live music, going to sports events or other things like the carnival or Chinese new year.

Also you could go to Brighton, or Oxford etc... Obviously it's not somethin' you can do in a 3 hours window but it could be a great week-end trip with your girl.

Don't you have passions ? Don't you have friends ?

Positives: It sounds like you have an excellent base for strength and decent cardiovascular endurance. Most people your age don't train at all, so you are already ahead of the pack (you just need to remember to stay consistent).

With that being said, your health and appearance is made in the kitchen - don't try and over complicate dieting or try any extreme approaches. Track your calories, eat in a caloric deficit and you will lose weight. Most people fail diets because they choose something that is unsustainable - they will go all in for the first couple of weeks, but inevitably break over time.

Good luck to you Sherbro.

I used to live in Burgess Hill. Brighton was my main big town and I've visited it several times after moving closer to London. I've always been fond of the place.

I've been to Oxford only once. It was fine but honestly, I found it to be a bit underwhelming. I also got a £100 parking ticket for driving in a bus lane.

My experience with London has been living in or near the west side, and central.

Cutting diets pretty much always suck. Lack of cooking skill doesn't matter. In fact eating plain food can be good because you won't feel like overeating on it. Lean meat, rice and broccoli is just not tasty enough to binge on. Conversely, eating good food (e.g. restaurants) can be bad because it makes you feel like eating more. It doesn't mean you can't have a treat, but it needs to be rare. Anyway you can't wrestle your way out of it, dieting sucks and the food sucks for a few months.

Yeah, I need to cut back on these takeout diets, for health and for money. Just really get back to basics with fresh foods.
