take away wheaties box & the fluke henderson kick

Everyone has simply passed him by and his physique looks awfully soft. He was very good and was champ but his "prime" was extremely short and for a good part of that he was always injured.

I'm not going to get into arguments with contrarians. Wonderboy was beating him until he got that shot in, Melendez and Benson Henderson are not great. Melendez almost lost to Diego Sanchez

Melendez was at his peak and had never been finished before. Ben Henderson was also at his peak when Pettis armbarred him. Context is King. It's easy to go back and look at a fighter's record and think of the opponents as they are now and not when he beat them. Fact is, Pettis finished Cowboy, Benson, and Melendez when they weren't being finished by other people.

Bro, you said Dennis Siver is a better fighter than Nate Diaz.

You don't get to have an opinion anymore.

Believe whatever you want to believe dude I don't give a fuck

He had a great little run to get the belt, but overall is 9-9 in the UFC. I think the fact that he has bounced around three divisions is evidence that he's struggling to find some traction at this point.

When the talent pool was a shallow as a kiddie pool, when BJ Penn ruled the Earth. stfu
So i was right. You are a new fan

BTW Pettis still would have won without that "fluke" kick. But you never saw the fight so you wouldn't know

Le Choad, it's time you hit the road. What he said is the TRUTH. Now get outta here, and wash ya choad while ya at it.

You're like a doctor with X-ray vision. I don't care about your opinion

the henderson kick is one of the coolest things to happen in the sport. who cares if hes not that great

& flawless submission of Bendo for the belt, right after Bendo got his black belt.

I'm just doing what you asked in your OP. I took away those two accomplishments you mentioned and still talked about how good Pettis is/was.

Pettis was definitely an underachiever, though. He should've been champion a lot longer. He had a terrible gameplan against RDA and never looked the same.

Hes talented but unfortunately his mental game and confidence is just not there

He's just a specialist. Very clearly defined strengths and weaknesses. Fight his fight and anyone is liable to getting fucked up, even Wonderboy of all people. But pressure has been an obvious answer for beating Pettis since forever.

I understand your jimmies are rustled that he lost, but the moment that you said ben henderson I stopped reading your responses...so I implore you to stop wasting your time.
