I am a fairly decent striker as well. I went to bellator Houston Gracie/shamrock and the woman working the punch-meter machine said I punched harder than everybody there and that was including my 285 pound cousin. The prize was I was supposed to meet Herschel walker but he never came. I was going to charge after Tito after jumping over Jenna Jameson to try to flatten him out for fun but then in my peripheral vision there was this guy dressed up as Jesus Christ and I thought better of it. probably the best mma event I will ever see I got real lucky that night.

I went for dinner right after posting that and I actually started to feel kinda dumb about doing it. In general I'm in support of anybody trying to better themselves and weights area huge part of my life, I'm usually very positive and encouraging, I applaud your effort.
I didn't express it well. Like I said I don't keep tabs on this story too tightly but talk about records is all through these threads and while those numbers blow away the average man on the street y'all are discussing competing in meets which suggests some level of seriousness to me. I guess by those numbers, the 'I betcha I could' claims and the baseball chatter I assumed you were either very young and inexperienced or very small but in those vids you look like a full grown man.

I should have thought it through better before hitting enter, didn't mean to offend.

im surprised you know who chuck Liddell is I remember you mentioning that you didnt know anything about fighting to try to save face a few years ago.
 
This part is 100% with certainty not true at all. You can improve athleticism at any age. You wont reach your absolute potential but your relative potential you can.

Ive already told you what you lifts I have done over the years and im going to to do meet in the not so distant future so that I can get them 100% judged by qualified judges just to get my name on openpowerlifting then I will forever shut up about my personal lifting forever on this website.

I never said you can't improve. What you are talking about is magically adding over 50lbs AND going from a gym bro bench to a pause style powerlifting bench under a year. That's newbie gain territory as an intermediate/advanced trainee in a lift notorious for being hard to increase.

You can say your numbers, no issues there but you aren't saying that. You are saying you could hit a 1500 total and state record numbers if you just eat more and train harder. Sure it's possible, but those numbers are outliers.

I dont recall saying I could hit 1500. I recall saying that my best chance to would be to bulk quickly for a few months and do a Bulgarian style program. It definitely isn't noob gains to put 50 pounds on your bench in a year that's more of intermediate gains tbh. Just ask drew my numbers represent early intermediate strength levels when measured beside the USAPL class-action system. I think my current total puts me at class 1. Reality is If you program appropriately you can add add 5-10% to SBD every 10 weeks for a while. I dont care to program appropriately for powerlifting because I quite frankly dont give a crap about powerlifting.

That's the issue. Nothing wrong with his numbers for what he wants to do. Thought the plates are confusing to me. It becomes an issue when you start claiming higher numbers if you just trained harder. Just say the numbers you have not guesstimated maxes.

You're talking about a 50 lb increase whilst completely changing your pressing technique as an experienced lifter. You might be able to pull it off, but I doubt it. It's March, you have 40 weeks if you lift at the end of the year.

Your math puts you just on that perfectly with a 10lb or so leftover to go for that state record. I don't think you can do it, but give it a crack.

Maxi I was asked to guesstimate in which I said roughly 1250-1300 if I were to max out tommorow which I’m NOT going to do.what my total was then I was asked how I would total 1500 I said how I would try. Then we all decided I couldn’t total 1500 anyways so I said forget the whole ordeal and that was never my goal anyways.

I could specialize in the deadlift or squat to bring go my total up but what is the point? I like training for athletics anyways it would take up to much recovery resources to attempt it like that. The year after this my goal is to run a half marathon. My final form will be a hybrid athlete like an Alec viada type. I’m much more suited to endurance stuff anyways as drew noted I’m not terribly explosive genetically. On the contrary I used to run 5 minute miles a whim without even training for it.

That's the issue though. The numbers are slowly creeping lower and lower each time. Same with the videos.

I am not a bad thing about any of the lifts at all. Just the shrinking numbers.

Eric bro pump the brakes you are a trash striker, you got no technique. Which is normal for anyone who never trained in kickboxing / striking. You are just spazzing and got no form. But your lifts are very high compared to your body weight. You are lean and still good numbers.

I'm jelous at your lifting compared to low weight. So I am happy bout you not having striking skills. Why do you think that you can have good striking without a striking training background ? You think we can't tell ? You think you are special and don't have to train striking to be good at it ?

I mean most people here would be scared to fight you, cause you are a hajvan. But anyone who semi seriously trained striking knows you couldn´t do anything to them besides land some uncomfortable shots while spazzing. Than when you gass out you are food. Athletic yes. Skills no. You sure would´ve been good had you done it, the striking training. You didn´t. I would estimate this under 5 training sessions of boxing / kickboxing in your entire life. At a actual gym in a boxing / kickboxing class.
